As we approach the final marketing push for The Batman ahead of its March 4 release, the promos and TV spots are going to get a little more revealing. While there's nothing too spoilery in this extended spot from Warner Bros. Indonesia, it does include a few previously unconfirmed plot details.

For a start, Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz) mentions that both the Mayor and the Commissioner have been murdered (don't worry, Jim Gordon hasn't been promoted yet!). There's also an intriguing moment between Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) and the Dark Knight (Robert Pattinson), with the latter seemingly wondering if it might be time to hang up the cape and cowl.

Check out the video below along with Bill Sienkiewicz's stunning cover art for Den of Geek magazine.

"Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens."

“When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”

We recently learned that The Batman will be rated PG-13 for “strong violence, disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.” The movie is set to hit theaters on March 4.

@BlackBeltJones - Man this moment always brings me down to tears, at that time my old man (RIP) was going trough an awful sickness and he knew his time was due, so he was basically saying goodbye everyday and everytime he could, so one day he just told me: "Kid I know I haven't done things right, but i'm lucky to be your father, your mama would be proud". Every damn time I watch this last scene I turn into a damn mess lol my father was able to watch it once it was released on Blu ray so it was great to share that moment with him. I know GOTG Vol2 wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but i really like it and it always has a special place in my heart.

@JosephCronos92 - why vol 2 is better than 1 for me. I think it resonated emotionally with a lot of people to a really special degree. It really hit me in the feels.

@Waddles - I kinda read fantasy books nowadays, but I'm afraid I won't read Tolkien, because it is 70 years old.

I mean it's a classic, but I'm afraid it will be outdated.

I don't mean the story, but the writing. For example I read Dune recently (before the goat movie came out) and there was a minimum of direct speech, mostly only descriptions of the various places.

I'm afraid the Tolkien books will have similar writing and there will be more of describing the various forests, rather than characters interacting.

Anyway, I'm hyped for the show, and I wish it a success. I haven't seen Amazon's Wheel of Time but it doesn't have really good reviews, which is sad for an expensive book adaptation. Hopefully, Rings of Power will do better.

@kylo0607 - as much as I don't wanna like, I can't help but do.

The snow bits are refreshing, the old cast definitely looks like it's gonna get a lot to do, and the set pieces look pretty cool.

Riddler targeting both Bruce Wayne and Batman is interesting. Definitely think Riddler is gonna do it in a mocking way, knowing damn well Bruce Wayne is Batman, but Bruce Wayne not knowing the corruption the Waynes seemingly stood for.

I gotta say, if absolutely nothing else, this Batman film already has the best graphic design work and digital artwork and promotional material of any Batman film to date, in my opinion. All off this shit.... ALL OF IT.... I want it all on the walls of my home. I keep hearing myself thinking "I want that as a poster"... "I need that as a poster"...

The designs of this world Matt and his gang have created mixed with the talent designing these pieces of art.... 🔥🤘👌

Well, I did collect every bit of Batman Returns promotional material, I still drink out of my set of McDonald's Batman Returns Super Sized plastic cups and Batman Returns glass mugs.

But still, this artwork for THE BATMAN is GORGEOUS.

I think the film will be as good as The Dark Knight and the real deciding factor for a lot of people will be who was the better villain and who gave the better performance.

I think the movie will have as many flaws as The Dark Knight did, the film will get roughly the same level of critical acclaim, maybe a little bit higher.

Really the way I see it, it'll likely be neck-and-neck with The Dark Knight on how much people love it.

It's funny, this Riddler feels more like Hush than anything else. Even down to the mask covering his whole face and the big coat.

Which makes me wonder... Why didn't they just use Hush? Lol

@KWilly - I know some comic book readers like Hush. But I think reinventing a classic Batman '66 villain like the Riddler, was more intriguing to Matt Reeves & WB. Similar to how Nolan adapted Bane.

@KWilly - Riddler was the mastermind behind the entire Hush arc anyway. They probably just felt cut out a token character, and apply the whole thing to Riddler.
