We're exactly one month away from The Batman arriving in theaters, and Box Office Pro has now weighed in with their early projections for the DC Comics movie. While a lot can change over the coming weeks, the site currently believes the reboot will debut anywhere between $135 million - $185 million during its opening weekend in North America.
As for how much it could ultimately earn in total at the domestic box office, it's currently an estimated $340 million - $540 million. Needless to say, The Batman looks set to be the biggest hit since Spider-Man: No Way Home (for comparison's sake, Uncharted is eyeing an only okay $25 million - $35 million later this month).
Providing reviews are positive and word of mouth is strong among moviegoers, the belief is that the movie could quite easily get closer to that $185 million figure, possibly even exceeding it.
The only real disadvantage The Batman faces is its 2 hours, 55 minutes runtime. That limits the number of screens it can be shown on, but a similar runtime didn't hurt Avengers: Endgame so Warner Bros. is unlikely to be too worried on that front. With no simultaneous HBO Max release planned, there's no reason this movie can't be one of the biggest titles of 2022.
A new banner has also been released by Warner Bros. Mexico showcasing Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman.
The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4.
