Following the news that Warner Bros. is laying out plans to resume work on The Matrix 4, a new report from Deadline sheds some light on what's happening in the UK with The Batman and Fantastic Beasts 3. Unfortunately, it's not good news for either one of those movies right now.

While the country has lifted restrictions which will now allow work to resume on both films and TV shows, it seems Warner Bros. is holding off (presumably because of ongoing safety concerns).

"Deadline hears that Warner Bros.’ London productions such as The Batman and Fantastic Beasts 3, remain on hiatus." In other words, they're not going to start shooting any time soon, and that's probably because there's a lot of uncertainty in the UK about whether the Government has started sending people back to work too soon and the ramifications which come with that.

A studio like this one will want to make sure that the cast and crew are 100% safe, as it would be a disaster for COVID-19 to make its way through a production like The Batman

For now, we're just going to have to wait and see what happens as there's so much uncertainty surrounding, well, everything. With any luck, the studio is plotting out how work can resume on these movies, because The Batman has already been pushed from next June to October due to the pandemic.

Good. I’m genuinely baffled by some people saying they should go back to filming because the law says it’s okay.

Even though Pattinson was probably trolling, I really hope he does rock up to production like

@Se4M4NSt4ine - I mean, he was never gonna be Batfleck size anyway.😂 An argument can be made, that Batfleck was too bulky. Bale was a leaner Bruce Wayne, in The Dark Knight Rises. And obviously Keaton was a smaller guy. The Batsuit will likely have enough padding to give Pattison a formidable enough look.

@WAKANDABATMANFOREVER - Bale was in perfect shape for a grounded Batman.

In light of recent events, it has been decided that Batman Begins is Batman 2021. Just re-watch that beauty on an 8k TV next year and be done with it.

Keeping the cast and crew safe sounds exactly like a good thing. I don’t see at all how this is “not a good thing,” as Josh put it.

The ease of lockdown doesn't make any sense.

I can't go round my mum and dad's house and they can't come to me.

I can meet 1 person from another household say a mate in the park but they've got keep 2 metres away from me.

If I was selling my house I can have upto 4 people view my house at 1 time

The UK is a complete mess with a death rate of over 14% compared to the number of cases, and that's barely even accounting for the reality of life in the UK where social distancing has gotten to absurd levels and the government is trying desperately to install 5G towers, electric car charging stations and improved roads in the hopes they can presumably have a better infrastructure/economy set for electric cards when all this is over.

The UK official guidelines also imply that the social distancing and restriction on freedoms is effectively permanent - if we even have a single Covid-19 (Disease) case in the UK they'll keep it on Level 2 which implies arguably authoritarian levels of control.
