THE BATMAN Star Zoë Kravitz Dons A More Comic-Accurate Catwoman Mask For New Photoshoot

The Batman is now playing in theaters worldwide, and Wonderland Magazine has shared some shots from a recent photoshoot with stars Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz that are sure to set pulses racing.

The actors pose for a series of rather risqué shots, with Kravitz donning a far more comic-accurate Catwoman mask that the one Selina Kyle wears in the movie.

This was an issue for some fans, but the film makes it clear that Selina hasn't actually embarked on her career as a costumed cat-burglar/vigilante yet, so the more makeshift outfit does make sense. Maybe Kyle will take inspiration from the Dark Knight for the inevitable sequel and make a few upgrades to her wardrobe?

Check out the photos below.

Have you been to see The Batman yet? If so, what did you think?

"Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens."

“When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”

The Batman is rated PG-13 for “strong violence, disturbing content, drug content, strong language, and some suggestive material.”

The pic with her wearing the cat mask and licking out of a bowl looks SUPER cringey and awkward and embarrassing. I wish she had said no to posing for that pic. She doesn't look like she had fun posing for that pic in particular.
Otherwise the pics are really good! Zoe looks GORGEOUS! (But when doesn't she look stunning?) And I really love the spit take pic with Robert Pattinson. He's one of those people for me like Zac Efron who I really need to see a "3" or better as the first number in their double digit age for me to even consider them even slightly sexy. And here he is. Looking sexy as all get out with Zoe. Me likey!

Hands down the best Catwoman for me and a million times better then bland ass Anne Hathaway. Zoe has an edge to her that Catwomen needs to have, just hope she has a more comic accurate costume in the sequel.

Comic culture has been criticized for over sexualizing characters. This only reinforces that stereotype. That is what I appreciate about Anne Hathaway's excellent performance. It was subtle and self defined.

@Forthas - yikes this is the most cringe shit I’ve seen you type.

@Forthas - I do agree about that. I think most people might say I'm crazy because Anne Hathaway was fine as The Catwoman.

@solskulldeath - I loved Zoe Kravitz portrayal. She came close to being my favorite Catwoman. But I thought she was over sexualized whereas Hathaway used sex as a distraction or weapon but was not primarily defined by that. Zoe seemed more feisty and tougher than Hathaway, but Hathaway was more cunning and deceptive and offered a broader range of crime skills such as being a pick pocket and chameleon.

@solskulldeath - You are not crazy. People harp on Michelle Pfieffer but I think she overacted and her Selina Kyle is second only to Halle Berry as the least comic accurate.

How's that "They're bringing back the Nolanverse" theory going?

@Forthas - I don't fully agree. I think Michelle's Selina had a more personal, emotional and damaged performance.

@Forthas - Did you watch The Batman movie? I think the performance and depiction of the character of Selina isn't really that oversexualized, not much more than Anne Hathaway's version was, to me.

@Forthas - There were a few ass-shots in that movie...its fine, Catwoman is suppoused to be a sexualized character...I think Tim Burton is the only one who went too far.

@dagenspear - But don't you think her performance was a bit over the top. Watch it here...

The big problem comparing these versions of Catwoman is that Burton plays it as a black comedy, whereas Nolan and Reeves as drama. I don't dislike Michelle's performance, but even within this setting it was strange - her voice changed for some reason (becoming more husky and sultry). Keaton, on the other hand, I don't feel overacted and it makes it easier to compare to other Batmen becuae I can almost see him in other films.
