Robert Pattinson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday evening, and the actor brought a new clip from The Batman with him! Starting at the 7:31 mark in the video below, it begins with a tense conversation between Jim Gordon and the World's Greatest Detective as the latter explains to his ally that one of the cops in the department is corrupt and working at the Iceberg Lounge.
From there, Batman punches Jim in the face - to cover his escape, most likely - and goes on the run as the GCPD chases him down. We're guessing this scene culminates with the Caped Crusader diving off the roof of the building for the impressive gliding sequence featured in the trailers.
While brief, this sneak peek does offer a better idea of what to expect from the movie, and it feels like director Matt Reeves has definitely nailed the unique dynamic between Batman and Gordon.
The Batman finds the Caped Crusader in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham City.
Joining Robert Pattinson in the star-studded ensemble are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4.
