THE BATMAN TV Spot Reveals More About Catwoman Dynamic And Teases Epic Destruction In Gotham City

A new extended TV spot for The Batman reveals more about the Dark Knight's dynamic with Catwoman, and just how destructive The Riddler's plans for Gotham City truly are. Check it out right here...

The Batman will serve as a fresh start for Gotham City's most iconic vigilante, pitting the hero against The Riddler, The Penguin, and Carmine Falcone. However, Matt Reeves' movie will also explore the Dark Knight's relationship with Catwoman, and that's the focus of this extended TV spot for the movie.

Their dynamic appears to be a fun one, though Batman is none too impressed with Selina Kyle's many pet cats. They do seem to share a strong connection, anyway, and we're anticipating their relationship being explored over the course of this possible trilogy. Elsewhere in the sneak peek, we learn more about Edward Nashton's horrific plan for Bruce Wayne's home, which includes blowing up a stadium!

There's actually quite a bit of new footage here, with a shot of Andy Serkis' Alfred Pennyworth and a better look at the sheer scale of the new Bat Cave. Hidden beneath the streets of Gotham City, The Batman will deliver a new take on that iconic location, but still appears to be embracing the comics.

The Batman finds the Caped Crusader in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham City.

Joining Robert Pattinson in the star-studded ensemble are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.

The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4.

@DarthOmega - Yep!

Considering he is the Dune, Rogue One and Zero Dark Thirty cinematographer, it's no surprise The Batman looks as gorgeous as it does.

Yeah, Emmerich is right. Between this, Doctor Strange and Moon Knight, they do all look the same and aren't the bold new movies we haven't already seen before

@bkmeijer - I strongly disagree that this looks like Strange and Moon Knight, but everything Marvel does have a samey feel. Strange however may break that mold: Raimi has too distinctive a style. Overall, I agree we're at a superhero saturation point. At the very least if you're going to make one, it should have a fresh POV. I think this does, but that's just me.

@BestAtWhatIDo - you're right to disagree. Enmerich is so wrong with his comments.

We do have reached a point where we're getting a lot of stuff, and not everything looks as interesting, but The Batman and Doctor Strange definitely look unique

I wonder how many times Catwoman is going to save Batman in this film?
