I paid a visit to the Farmiloe building on St John Street, London being used for the Police station in the third Christian Bale Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, this morning (Monday) at 10am and it was a hive of activity, with the standard large trucks parked around housing the technical equipment and various fluorescent jacketed stewards and lanyard wearing staff walking about.

Evidence of actual shooting in progress was the illuminated lighting rigs on the street and on a scaffold/cherry picker.

The surrounding Charterhouse Square was also being used as a parking area for more technical trucks.

The parking permit stuck on the various parking signs showed that this area is to be used until Saturday 21st May.

@Jerkinthebox

What did you expect to see? Anne Hathaway in full Catwoman costume?

It's the first day of filming, wake up and smell the coffee!

Intriguing. I wonder, will an important part of the plot take place in London? Or are they using specific spots in London to pass off as parts of Gotham? I'm thinking the later of the two.

Also, I'm appalled that set photos have been leaking out so early in the filming. With a film as secretive as this, you would think security both on the ground and in cyberspace would be outstanding at preventing photos/set footage not deemed fit for viewing by the studio.

Hmm, I smell a decoy. I mean this is Nolan, king of secrets. Maybe this is just a set up to fool photographers etc and the 'real' filming is somewhere nearby, more hidden? That's my view on this anyway...probably looking into it far too much. ha!

Guys it's highly unlikely they'll actually set bits of the film in London, they've filmed for the first two in London as well, both at Pinewood and at a mansion which was used as Wayne Manor, as well as another mansion which was used as the manor in the burton/schumaker series.
Also, the tunnel in which the tumbler destruction scene from TDK was actually filmed in a tunnel in Liverpool if i'm not mistaken.
I doubt they'd go to london, since they're going to (presumably) somewhere in Asia as part of the plot (filming in India + "Lazarus Pit"), and between all the characters, the plot itself, and all that, they wouldn't have the time.
