Tom Hardy Cast As Mystery Character In Batman 3!

As previously reported here on CBM the actor is indeed up for a role in Batman 3 and according to Deadline, he's already been hired by Warner Bros for a "lead role" in the sequel...

A while ago, I posted a story here on CBM (Three Inception Stars Are Competing For The Role Of The Riddler In Batman 3) containing some info I had been emailed which stated that following the success of Inception, Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros were keen on hiring either Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt or Tom Hardy as The Riddler in Batman 3. Well, it would appear that Hardy has indeed been cast in the upcoming third installment of Nolan's Batman franchise!



Here is an excerpt from the report over at Deadline:

"I'm told that Hardy has been set by his Inception director Chris Nolan for a lead role in the next Batman film at Warner Bros. Insiders are keeping the role secret and won't even say if he's up for a villain role, but that seems a reasonable assumption.

Deadline are well known for being VERY reliable with these scoops and while this doesnt confirm that he'll play The Riddler, that might just be the lead role the site are talking about if that sources information was correct! However, with recent rumours pointing to Killer Croc being the main villain in Batman 3, could that be the character he'll portray? Who else do you think Hardy would be a good choice for? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Batman 3 is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

That makes sense after watching Inception I thought they were just going to fly in Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman and there would be Batman 3.

I hope it's not Riddler I would like Black Mask and Killer Croc can be done realistically like in Azzarello's Joker.

Thanks guys! :) I'm not sure who he'd be a good choice to play really...after seeing him in Inception, I could easily picture him as The Riddler, but Bronson makes me think that he'd be awesome as a Nolan version of Killer Croc or Bane!

Regardless, I'm very pleased with this news. Hardy is an amazing actor IMO.

This was obvious that Tom Hardy would be cast after his role in Inception with Nolan. I don't see him as a riddler though, to buff and good looking. Maybe he is Croc?

I think The Riddler would be too obvious!:/... Nolan is smarter than that!

My votes goes to BANE and WAYLON JONES AKA KILLER CROC! They both can be made with Nolan´s style! And honestly TOM HARDY WOULD BE A FRICKING AMAZING IN BOTH ROLES (Just watch Bronson)! I know Bane is spaniard, but Nolan could change that too! HARDY IS BRILLIANT CHOICE WHOEVER HE PLAYS! Thats for sure! Bane is my choice of these two! Imagine him fighting with some guy in the underground match and beating him to dead just when Talia Al Ghul(Marion Cotillard) or The Penguin(Alfred Molina or Philip S. Hoffman) steps in and hires him to kill Bats!:D But they didnt know they hired a maniac!:D... God that would be awesome!
