Vertical Entertainment's The Devil Below is now playing in select theaters, VOD, and Digital platforms, and we recently caught up with director Bradley Parker (Chernobyl Diaries) to discuss his work on the nail-biting horror movie. Starring Alicia Sanz, Adan Canto, Zach Avery, Chinaza Uche, Jesse Latourette, with Jonathan Sadowski and Will Patton, it's well worth checking out.
It's a fun movie, and you can check out our full interview with Bradley about that by clicking here.
While The Devil Below is the filmmaker's second movie as a director, he's credited as a second unit director on The Batman as well (after previously working with Matt Reeves on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes). Needless to say, we had to ask what that's been like.
"I’ve finished filming on that. I directed the Chicago second unit. It was an absolute blast," Parker revealed. "Again, it’s playing in a much, much bigger sandbox than The Devil Below, but a lot of the same techniques and ideas apply. I love doing both giant movies and little movies. They’re all fun, but I’ve always loved working with Matt Reeves, and that’s another project, like Loki, which is going to be incredible. They’re both phenomenal projects."
While we had Bradley on the phone, we also quizzed him on whether, after working on The Batman and Loki, he can see himself taking the helm of his own superhero movie. "I’d absolutely love that," the filmmaker responded with great enthusiasm. "I certainly see that in my own future. There are a couple of things I’m not really able to discuss just yet that are percolating, but if all the planets align, maybe something could happen..."
We'll hopefully have more to share with you on that soon. In the meantime, we're excited to see what Parker brings to both the Marvel and DC Universes. Here's the trailer for The Devil Below:
