With the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the globe, filmmakers and celebrities are getting creative. On Sunday morning, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder held a live commentary, offering insight into the Ultimate Edition of his widely loved comic book adaptation (by fans, anyway).
We've already broken down some key reveals from Snyder, but thanks to Screen Rant, we now know why the Man of Steel was painted in an almost villainous light at one point in the film.
As the site explains, "at one point during the beginning of the brawl, Superman is shown from Batman's perspective, hence why the Man of Steel suddenly looked more ruthless and dangerous." In other words, we were meant to be seeing Superman from the Dark Knight's point of view, and it was clear from the start he viewed Kal-El as a dangerous threat.
It now makes sense why Superman had what appeared to be a drastically different attitude during this vicious brawl, which saw Batman attempt to kill Metropolis's Kryptonian protector. The Caped Crusader was going to deliver a killing blow to his foe, but the mention of Martha and a timely intervention from Lois Lane made sure that never came to pass.
There are clearly still a lot of secrets to decipher in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Snyder has now cleared up a lot of them, including that big Knightmare sequence set in the future!
