BATMAN v SUPERMAN Toy Possibly SPOILS Who The Heroes Team Up Against

Despite Michael Shannon denying that he's playing Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans remains convinced that the villain will show up in the movie. Well, if this new piece of merchandise is anything to go by, the real foe will be a little more on the robotic side...

Look, we all know how unreliable toys are when it comes to story details, but there's something very interesting about these Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice action figures. If Batman and Superman were wearing alternate costumes, I'd completely dismiss this, but they're in their movie duds, so would the designers really have plucked the Lex Luthor design out of thin air? After all, it's like nothing we've seen in the comics, so it's definitely an original design and one which could very well end up in Batman v Superman next year. After all, we've seen multiple denials about Doomsday being in the movie, so the heroes uniting to take on the armoured Lex is certainly plausible. It looks a little alien too, so could the LexCorp boss have utilised Zod's armour?

Starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman. Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open in theaters on March 25th, 2016.

I'm not impressed with LL armored suit.....Need a better look at it and hopefully it looks better in live action...

[frick] I hate the Lex armor. Hate it in the cartoon (which he did wear once), hate it in the comics.

It's so [frick]ing boring. Lex having armor makes him nothing more than another enemy Superman can hit. Without the armor, Lex is more psychological in his games against Superman causing Superman to think before he acts.

Lex wearing an armor suit is stupid.

But by looking at Batman's armored suit (in that pic) looks bad as well....so hopefully LL suit is amazing...

@LEVITIKUZ

We all knew he was gonna have a suit....I for one loves the suit in the cartoons as well as the comics...he's arrogant and want's to be more superior than Supes....the suit has always been Luthor's downfall....He just can't match him in power and strength....

Its human nature to be better than the next man...in Luthor's eyes...Supes is the Next man..

I want the suit to be in the movie...just hope it looks better..

@Brainiac13

I was always thinking either Doomsday, Bizarro, Metallo, or some new creature from Zod's body would play a villain for the Trinity to fight while Lex watches from LexCorp.

Lex with body armor with me always felt dumb. I always preferred how All Star had Lex have Superman's powers for a brief moment. Making Lex with armor sort of dumbs the character down and considering we already have 2 armor wearing superheroes who had 2 armor wearing villains, it just feels repetitive.

I've always seen Lex like Riddler. You wouldn't have Batman physically fight Riddler (well I'll give Arkham Knight the exception since it really was the only boss battle in the game), you'd have Batman fight Riddler in a battle of the wits.

It's probably why Lex Luthor Man of Steel is my favorite Lex comic. No armor. Just Lex scheming. Was hoping for that.

I don't think so. he was able to defeat Zod in hand to hand combat, you're gonna tell me he needs Batman AND Wonder Woman to take down Lex Luthor in a suit of armor?

Luthor ain't about the shit, never liked the concept and I'd be disappointed if that's what goes down in the movie. He's one of the villians that pulls the strings, it's what makes him so cool. I mean this is a dude that's vulnerable, any super powered character could just snap his neck or throw him into the sun but that never happens. You know why? Because he's a "schemer," and he knows which chess pieces to move in order to prosper. [frick] off with this armored shit.

sorry

What the actual [frick]? No?

I hope these are just for merchandising. The armor looks lame and poorly designed. It would also be somewhat ironic for this vaunted DC movie to resort to a slug fest in the end.

No, no [frick]ing way I'm gonna be taking this Kurt Cobain haired, hipster, technology mogul, "the red capes are coming", Jesse [frick]ing Eisenberg version of Luthor seriously in a giant mech. This take on Luthor is already goofy enough, throw in a robot suit and I'm out.

As for Lex having armor in any version, I think it can work. Lex is all about proving that he's better than Superman. If that means lowering himself to his brute level by beating the shit out of him with a mech suit every now and then, so be it.

Umm.....did it ever occur to anyone that maybe Lex has armor, but there is also another villain? Maybe he builds the armor just to protect him in case Superman gets past the other threat, or to help the other guy, especially once Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman join together to fight.

Doubt/Hope this isn't reflective of the film.
I never want to see Lex with power armor..
keep him a psychological adversary, not just another punch bag for Supes.
