Even since the
Smallville days fans have wondered if we'd ever see a DC themed television show cross over with a Warner Bros. big screen release, and the desire to witness this has only intensified since the studio have recently began to lay the groundwork for a shared cinematic universe. Also, The CW's
Arrow series will now give way to the likes of
The Flash spin-off, and they will both likely tie in to future shows too -- so surely we'll eventually see a big screen crossover...right? In an interview with IGN, David S. Goyer first dances around a few Batman VS. Superman questions before admitting that a shared tv/movie universe is indeed something Warner Bros. would love to see happen -- someday.
"I mean, it's too early. I know that Warner Bros. would love to make their universe more cohesive. There have been a lot of general conversations about that, but it's really, really early. I'm not sure. Marvel has had enormous success, but I'm not sure that everybody should try to emulate them either. It's just been vague conversations so far."
Goyer does go on to praise Marvel's success, and says he's very excited to see the likes of
Guardians Of The Galaxy and
Ant-Man make it to the big screen. For the full interview click the link below.
