Michael Shannon got in hot water last year for comments made about his involvement in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (remember the whole flipper thing?), and since then, he's been reluctant to say too much about what he made of the critically panned DC Comics adaptation. Well, in a new interview with The Playlist, the verdict is in, but it may not be what Zack Snyder was hoping for!
"People ask me about this all the time. Okay, I’ll tell you the god’s honest truth. Zack [Snyder] is gonna kill me for this – he’s gonna kill me. I watched it once and I fell asleep," the actor reluctantly admitted. "I know, I know… I was on an international flight and I was tired….I shouldn’t have been watching it on a plane. But I never go to the movies anymore! I don’t have time to see anything. I used to go to the movies all the time when I was 20 years old and wasn’t working 10 days a week."
It's not like the Man of Steel star said he fell asleep due to sheer boredom, but that's not exactly a glowing review on Shannon's part! Still, he was tired, and Batman v Superman is a pretty long movie even before the added minutes in the Ultimate Edition. After this particular confession, chances are that we won't see much of General Zod in the DC Films Universe moving forward, but then again, we weren't expecting to! What do you guys think about the actor's comments about the movie?
