On his weekly Podcast "Hollywood Babble-On with Ralph Garman and Kevin Smith" Mr. Smith let slip some information about the new costuime for Batman in the upcoming Superman Vs Batman movie. He told his co host and audiences that back stage Director Zack Snyder showed him a picture of the costume on his iPhone. Kevin had this to say

"I saw the costume, more than that I saw him [Ben Affleck] in the costume...I don't want to give anything away cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this...I instantly bear hugged him. You have not seen this costume in film before. Because every other movie has done this matrixy black armor thing...There wasn't a single nipple on this [frick]ing suit man. I think everyone is gonna be like 'Holy Shit!' We haven't been down this path before. Even the Hardest core "[frick] this movie" person will be like 'alright, I'm ready!'

He then goes on to explain what it reminded him of.

"It seemed like it was very [Redacted] Influenced."

In the podcast he bleeped what it was influenced by but could he have been talking about Frank Miller? What do you guys think, leave your comments in the usual place.

i feel like they're gonna go the route of the lee bermejo batsuit with an Injusticey twist. kind of like a more rambo version of nite owl from snyder's watchmen movie.

or i'm talking out my butt and am totally off.

It's going to be a long wait between now and Comic-Con 2014, because sadly, I think we'll have to wait until then to see it, unless...some sneaky paps get some photos from the set.

@Dude

actually what i meant is that the costume from the first picture you posted (first one from the left) is really cool but not that intimidating. The costume from the second picture is much more intimidating (and spooky at the same time)

That third picture (gif) - i'm inbetween. Can't decide. Not sure about a blue colour.

@Starkasm Start with Batman Year One.

Also, people at Hollywood Babble-On would have heard what Kevin Smith compared the suit to. Do any of you guys know people who attended yesterday's show?

Knightfall is a very good read too.

@miklonus

Your passing judgement on Kevin Smith and his status as a "comics fan" is so far off of the mark, that your comment would have to climb mountains just to reach the dizzying heights of "incorrect". You could have just done 30 seconds of research before making that comment but, instead, you went ahead and started barking out of your ass. Smith even owns a comic book store (which 15 seconds on AMC would have shown you). Sorry if this sounds harsh but I'm sure some of the other people on this thread are going to crank it up to "batshit insane" (pun intended) once they realized what you wrote.
