SPOILERS: Scoot McNairy's Role In BATMAN v SUPERMAN Has Been Revealed And It's Not Who You're Expecting
There's been a lot of speculation about who Scoot McNairy is playing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but a new report claiming to shed some light on his REAL role might just blow your minds...
The last thing we heard about Scoot McNairy's role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was that he'll be playing a Jimmy Olsen who was badly injured in the battle between Superman and General Zod in Man of Steel, but a new report from Latino-Review refutes that. While the Argo star is indeed playing someone who was wounded during the events of that movie, the wheelchair bound character isn't The Daily Planet's photographer.
Instead, he's "brought in to testify against Superman to the U.S. Senate, but also becomes a victim of Lex Luthor's campaign against the Man of Steel. One of Luthor's schemes in the movie involves turning McNairy's character into a human bomb of sorts, radicalizing him, in an attempt to get him close to Superman and to hurt him." If accurate, this sounds like an attempt by Luthor to figure out just how strong Superman is and definitely makes sense. While it's a shame to think that we'll only get McNairy for the one movie, this would be a horrible waste of Jimmy, and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Thoughts?
