BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Producer Explains Why The Sequel Has Only ONE Post-Credits Scene

Critics who watched Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at last week's World Premiere reported that they saw only one post-credits scene, and producer Nate Moore has now explained why a second won't be added.

The response to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from last week's world premiere was overwhelmingly positive, with the sequel praised for being an action-packed, emotional epic.

However, we also heard that the sequel has only one scene in the credits. After the MCU debuts of Eros and Hercules were spoiled by some loud-mouthed journos on social media, many fans wondered if Marvel Studios might be playing it safe, keeping a second scene specifically for when the Black Panther follow-up arrives in theaters.

Unfortunately not!

Talking to Phase Zero, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever producer Nate Moore explained Marvel Studios' thought process behind including only a mid-credits scene and not the usual post-credits scene as well.

"Obviously, the weight of this movie is a bit different, and the tone of this movie is a bit different, and it felt, especially, once people see the film...we felt the ending was kind of poetic," he explains. "To then go back and say, 'Hey, there’s a tag at the end of the credits,' felt a little disingenuous tonally from what we were doing."

"Much like [Avengers] Endgame didn’t have a tag, this didn’t feel like a movie that needed it."

So, we can probably forget about an Ironheart trailer or Doctor Doom showing up to reveal himself as the mastermind behind the conflict between Wakanda and Atlantis!

Some fans will be disappointed by that, but it sounds like it makes sense within the context of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Amazingly, details about the stinger haven't found their way online over the past week, so it seems critics are being a little bit more respectful with this one. Some have praised it as one of the best extra scenes yet, though, so it should be worth the wait.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to be released exclusively in theaters on November 11.
