BLACK WIDOW Set Photos Give Us A Clearer Look At The Mysterious Villain Believed To Be Taskmaster BLACK WIDOW Set Photos Give Us A Clearer Look At The Mysterious Villain Believed To Be Taskmaster

The latest batch of photos from the set of Marvel's Black Widow give us a much clearer look at the mysterious villain that was first glimpsed from afar in yesterday's pics. Is this Taskmaster? Take a look.

Black Widow is now shooting in Budapest (yes, we may finally find out what the hell Natasha and Clint were referencing in the first Avengers movie), and this latest batch of set photos give us a clearer look at the mysterious villain first glimpsed in some blurry snaps yesterday afternoon.

While taken from above, the main photo does provide a more detailed look at the character's costume design as he pursues Scarlett Johansson's stunt double in a heavily armored vehicle.

Is he Taskmaster? These pics don't really give us any more to go on, but taking a recent rumor that the formidable Marvel baddie was set to appear in Widow's solo adventure into account, it's probably a safe bet. If it is him, this is certainly an... interesting approach.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think.

A “clearer look” 😂😂😂 yesterday’s look was better than this smh. This doesn’t look like Tasky. But yesterday I believed it was him. Now I’m not so sure.it would be fitting if he was in this tho I’ve been wanting to see him on the big screen.

I’m excited for Black Widow!!!

@Frshcoupe -

These are definitely better/sharper quality photos than the ones from yesterday so it that regard that are most certainly clearer, they just aren't in a position to which we can see a frontal shot of the villain(?). I also am not sure this is Taskmaster but I DEFINITELY want him to come into the MCU at one point and not as a one-shot villain either.

It doesn't look bad but I hope a skull mask is what would be used.

The color scheme is perfect. It could be very well just be one of his henchmen and they wear similar shit.

I can't keep judging these early pics anymore to harshly. After BP in Civil War had everyone shook

Taskmaster has been everywhere lately. He'll be in black widow, he was in Spider-Man Ps4.

And he's even going to be in the new Avengers game.

I wonder what the hell kind of spark is in everyones head that Taskmaster is making a full comeback for some reason.

@Mrcool210 - I don’t like how they have him a hockey mask in both games. Why are they afraid to give him the skull face? Would be much more intimidating.

Like just take that gold skull guy’s mask from Death Stranding, slap it on Taskmaster and make it white, and it’d be perfect

@Mrcool210 - The right combination of versatile and disposable. Taskmaster is a character who theoretically could have been hired to do anything. He's got a wide variety of skills and technical acumen to screw with heroes without directly threatening them. And he won't pull focus from the more important villain who hired him because he's just a merc doing his job.

Basically, the perfect mid-level boss.

@PicolasCage - They're leaning closer to Ultimate than 616, which is what the MCU has pretty much always done.

Spock0Clock

Assuming it is Taskmaster, I just hope they make him the right amount of hapless and silly. The dude isn't the Winter Soldier, going off like a Terminator to kill a designated target. He's more like the Little League coach who pitched two seasons of AAA ball.

Yeah, he seems impressive to the schlubs he's training, but he's all mouth, no game.
MyCoolYoung

@PeterCipher - yeah but he's always getting his ass whooped
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 6/27/2019, 7:42 AM
@PeterCipher - Exactly. Simultaneously mimicking Spider-Man and Hawkeye to do a sweet triple backflip while firing an arrow is like the baddest ass thing that a bunch of AIM goons have ever seen.

But it's like pitching an 80 mph fastball for a bunch of ten year olds. Try that in the majors and you'd be [frick]ed. Taskmaster's real skill is in convincing these other villainous organizations that he's not a clown. (And presumably, he's got some legitimate managerial skill.)
Kumkani
Kumkani - 6/27/2019, 7:57 AM
@Spock0Clock - I doubt he'll be silly in this Black Widow film, but I'm hoping he's a bit of a recurring villain, appearing in the films and Disney+ series. Black Widow could be the first person we see him face and maybe he has enough footage to copy some of Cap's, Spidey's, Hawkeye's, T'Challa's, Falcon's and Bucky's moves.

But you're right. Mimicking Spidey's agility is not the same thing as having it, and fighting like Black Panther or Cap isn't the same thing as being as strong or fast as them. There definitely needs to be the right amount of being a threat versus being a joke.
