BLACK PANTHER's Running Time Confirmed And It's One Of Marvel Studios' Longest To Date
The review embargo for Black Panther lifts in a little over an hour but a BBFC classification for the movie reveals exactly how long the latest Marvel Studios movie will be. Hit the jump for details...
Black Panther is set to be released on February 13th in the UK and the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) has today revealed its rating for the Marvel Studios movie. As expected, it's going to be a 12A (the UK equivalent of a PG-13) and that's because of "moderate violence, injury detail, rude gesture." Rude gesture? Now we'll have to wait and see which character gives another the finger!
More interesting, though, is the fact that Black Panther has a confirmed running time of 134 minutes.
That puts it on the longer side of movies set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain America: Civil War was a whopping 147 minutes but other solo outings like Doctor Strange and Ant-Man were 115 and 116 minutes respectively. So, we're clearly going to get a fair bit of time to explore all of Wakanda!
The review embargo for Black Panther lifts in just over an hour but IGN inadvertently debuted theirs early and gave the movie a glowing 9/10. Are you excited? Let us know your thoughts down below.
