Chadwick Boseman Talks About His Excitement For BLACK PANTHER

It's going to be 2 long years before we see Chadwick Boseman suit up as the Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War.. or will it? Boseman says a little something that might suggest he may show up in the MCU earlier than expected. Come check it out!

As part of Variety's Actors on Actors feature, Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson) sat down with the future Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, for a few minutes to discuss the role. Boseman is expected to make his debut in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, and will star in his own solo film in 2017. While plot details about his solo adventure are still scarce, Boseman does seem genuinely excited to be the one to bring T'Challa to life and describes the Black Panther as one of the most unique characters he's ever played.

He also lets it slip that "there's a director on the movies that he's introduced." We already know that the Russo brothers are returning to helm Civil War, but when he says "movies," could he be alluding to Joss Whedon and next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron as his first true introduction?

Check out the full video interview below and sound off with your thoughts in the usual spot!

As part of his presentation of the full slate for Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has announced that Chadwick Boseman will bring the Black Panther to life beginning with his role in Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” in theaters May 6, 2016, before starring in his own solo film, Marvel's "Black Panther," on November 3, 2017.

Black Panther hits theaters November 3, 2017

Oh why do we have to wait for movies. Someone needs to pull the sony and leak all the footage they have before the movies come out

Have they confirmed that Civil War is his debut? Wakanda is featured in AoU and he's been cast for a long time and they haven't even cast Dr Strange yet. I'm betting he's in AoU

Civil War should/ may be...

Captain America
Falcon
Hawkeye
Black Panther
Scarlet Witch
Quivksilver
Nick Fury

VS

Iron Man
War Machine
Black Widow
Hulk
Vision (Programmed Under Tony's control)
Maria Hill

Thors busy in Asgard, but I could se ethat as the lineups for the teams. That would make the most sense for sides imo (Based off character traits and comic portrayls of the civil war)

Have fights like

Cap VS. Iron Man
Falcon VS. War Machine
Hawkeye VS. Black Widow
The Twins VS. Hulk
Black Panther VS. Vision
Maria Hill VS. Nick Fury

I am a bit disappointed that Civil War is a Captain America film and not an Avengers film :/ I wanted a third SOLO Cap Outing featuring Falcon, Winter Soldier, Fury, Black Panther, Hydra etc with possible inclusions of Hill, Widow and Hawkeye rather then a Iron man v Cap film. It works for Superman v Batman since its a film many want and its not a superman sequel, rather then a Justice league prologue.... Here's hoping someday we will get another SOLO Captain America STEVE ROGERS film with the Russos of course!

Am I the only one that is not too crazy about Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa? He has a smiling mouth when he talks...and that takes away a bit of BP's badassery!! IMO

How dare he have a "SMILING MOUTH" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Im not criticizing his acting abilities and not putting down the way he looks with his "smiling mouth" ..It just bother me when I see it in a bad ass character! He comes off too friendly! No offense but I would prefer to see Aldis Hodge on this role.
BlackHulk

@ Sparkadv. Did you see him in the James Brown movie? His charisma and range should not be a problem.
sparkadv
sparkadv - 12/3/2014, 9:08 AM
@BlackHulk. Yes! I've seen it. I have no problem with his acting abilities, charisma and range. It's more like a visual thing. Again, not that is bad, its just distracting to me.... for the character that is. Hopefully I get over it when I see it.

When he says "Movie(s) that I'm introduced" he's talking about AOU and Civil War. There nothing to read into when it comes to his Solo movie.
