Captain America: Civil War was packed full of awesome fight scenes, and there were almost countless variations of Avenger v Avenger battles in the movie. However, at least one of those ended up being scrapped, and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have revealed in a recent interview with Fandango that we would have at one point seen Cap take on Black Widow. "There was a good fight between Captain America and Black Widow that we lost mainly due to time," Markus explains.

"[Cap and Black Widow] clearly have a deep relationship even though they're clearly on opposite sides, and you never know how many times you need to hit that over the course of the movie," McFeely adds. "I think it works without this fight, but we certainly didn't know if it would."

That's a fair point, but like the cut fight between Cap and Hawkeye in The Winter Soldier, it's hard not to feel disappointed over the fact that we're now unlikely to ever see these two heroes exchange blows.

Of course, the biggest question is who between Captain America and Black Widow would have won. The answer may upset some of you! "I guess Cap did," Mcfeely says. "Let's just say he got away in the moment, how about that?"

What do you guys think about these comments from the writers?

The airport fight was perfection

@TheBeard - Please, please explain to me why. I'm really not trying to start an arguement, but I seem to be one of the very few people who thought it was satisfactory, but not at all 'perfection'.
Scarlet Witch used her powers twice, on Black Widow and Black Panther, to 'block' their attacks on her teammates, and then just threw them away. Ant-Man was flung twice while shrinked, both by Black Widow's gauntlet and Iron Man's hand. Repeative scenes, dammit!
Another problem: lack of one-shots. 'Perfect' would be to have a one-shot of their fight when they sprint against each other. We liked it in the first Avengers, and it was cool in AoU. Was it so hard to get it here?
Spider-Man should 've had a better conversation with Cap while fighting, maybe something about the accords, not just that 'Brooklyn' line. Plus, like Iron Man, he suffered from distracting CGI.
I know, I'm whining a lot, maybe you think I'm stupid and that I can't have fun, but I just can't see how this airport fight is supposed to be one of the best fight scenes in the superhero genre.
Take out Ant-Man -who was the actual perfection of that scene- and all you got is an underwhelming fight.
I'm honestly not trying to annoy you, or anyone who thinks it was a great scene, but I believe you are exaggerating.

@TheBeard - I agree. Straight out of the comic books.

@OuzoPowerMan - From here it looks like you're deliberately trying to sabotage TheBeard's opinion by pointing out their flaws and calling his view on the fight as an exaggeration. Its just their opinion.

@Peterhill160 - Not at all. I respect everyone's opinion, for as long as it's based on good arguements. That's all I'm asking to learn, his arguements.

I don't think anyone would be upset, Cap beats her physically and their fighting abilities are almost matched, with him having the edge.

Widow fight at the begining was better than Black Panther fight with WS and chase scene.
I was surprised by Cap vs Spidey fight and how Steve nocked Parker down.
