Marvel CCO Teases New SPIDER-MAN Costume Design; 'It's Going To Blow People Away'

The Chief Creative Officer at Marvel Entertainment has confirmed seeing the new Spider-Man suit that Tom Holland will wear in the new solo movie if not in Captain America: Civil War. Check it out!

During an interview with IGN at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel's Chief Creative Officer, Joe Quesada, had discussed Spider-Man joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he also revealed he's seen the tights that actor Tom Holland will don. "It's awesome," he said of the costume. "I've seen a lot of design work that's been done on the costume. I think there are elements of it that are really going to blow people away where they are going to go 'Ah, that's Marvel doing Spider-Man."

Joe Quesada remained tight-lipped when asked whether or not the new Spidey suit will have web-shooters, and also if Marvel will have a new or traditional approach to the design. However, he did reassure, "Things will be revealed as they are meant to be revealed." Quesada gushed about Marvel Studios helping Sony to develop Spider-Man's latest cinematic outing. "It's Spider-Man," he said. "What's not exciting about that? I can't imagine there's a person on the planet Earth that can't relate to some aspect of Spider-Man or Peter Parker, and he is for all intents and purposes, he is Marvel's Mickey Mouse. He is the icon of so much of what we have was built upon, so to create that movie along with our Sony partners it's phenomenally exciting. I know Kevin Feige and his team have some great ideas. Some wonderful theories that we have all chimed in on."

I really want to know the direction the suit is going in. Is it a classic take (like TASM2's costume), or are they going to do something completely different?

Something akin to the Ben Reilly Spidey suit, perhaps?

Yeah, I feel like Holland is gonna own the role, and the Tomei/Holland dynamic is going to add so much to Parker's character. I thought Tobey was good but I can understand the criticism, Spider-Man 2 is still amazing though

I liked Raimi's films (aside from SM 3) but yeah, I'm ready for a more definitive take on Spidey and Parker, and the MCU is a perfect world for Spider-Man to live in

I can't wait to see Cop Car, I think Watts was an awesome choice, and all the casting news so far has me wanting more

As bad as TASM 2 was that suit was perfect. I think it'll be hard to top that one, but im exited to see what marvel has in store.

Marvel may not be at Comic Con, but we're still getting some great stuff from them regardless as of late. Also, the costume definitely has web pits. If anything would make people go, "Ah, that's Marvel doing Spider-Man" it's that.
