Yep, you guessed it.

The speculation is over.

The long standing rumor has been laid to rest.

A source with Marvel Studios has just told me that Will Smith will not be portraying Captain America. The information linking Will Smith to the role of Captain America is completely inaccurate.

I love Will SMith and his acting... but dear God not him as Captain America. This is really going to be a tough role to cast. You have to have someone really believable.

MULTI: Lol, I know - I was just kidding! :) Still, it would be worth a go (even though it wouldnt work, lol) if it would mean we could find out who's playing Cap...wasnt it rumoured or mentioned by someone that it would be October last year when we were supposed to hear something?

even when Smith himself denied he was up for the role people still persisted with the rumor.... I personally had no problem with Nick Fury being black it's when people make big fuss over it....
perhaps in an aternate universe Captain America could be black anythings possible in those universes..
