News from today's Wolfman press conference sheds more light on The First Avenger: Captain America!

Here are some of the highlights, as relayed by the folks at Collider:

– He’s definitely casting an American to play Captain America

– Needs to have casting done by March 1

– He’s shooting Captain America in HD and says if they do 3D it’ll be in post

– Says he’s going to shoot Captain America in a different way than any of the other Marvel pictures have been shot

– They’re going to shoot most of it in the UK because the movie takes place in Europe

– Regarding casting a movie star to play Captain America…Johnston says he wants to discover an unknown and surround him with more prominent names

– And while he didn’t tell us anything about the villain of the film, AICN is reporting Johnston told someone at the junket that Red Skull is going to be the villain.

I wonder how the film will look. I think it would be cool to have parts of it look like gritty WWII footage. It sounds like Mr. Johnston has fans feelings in mind. This movie will be something special.

As long as it isn't in 3D I could care less about how the movie looks. Well, yeah, that's not really true, it should have a very gritty and Saving Private Ryan look to it. I hope to God they've taken notes on SPR. THAT'S how you make a WW2 movie.

i dont see 3D being an issue.it can be used to enhance the feeling of the movie as it did with avatar.
if they try to make it a stereotypical 3D flick and try to have everything coming out at you (alice in wonderland style) it will fail badly.
i say cap and bucky should be american,i wont jump off the nearest bridge if they aint but would be better IMO if they were.

I don't know..having a GRITTY war movie in 3D
doesn't sit well with me..Sure it's Comic Book Movie
But That doesn't mean it can't be a AWESOME war movie
and 3D is just a gimmick (for now anyway)
