CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Concept Art Features New Takes On Cap, Black Widow, Batroc, And More
This latest round of awesome concept art from Captain America: The Winter Soldier puts the spotlight on fresh takes on Captain America, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Batroc, and Brock Rumlow. Take a look...
In 2014, Marvel Studios released Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, two movies which changed the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever. In the case of the former, the Russo Brothers brought a whole new style of action to the genre and put Steve Rogers on a path that is still playing out to this very day.
Now, some rarely seen concept art from the movie has been revealed and it features alternate takes on Captain America's suits, Black Widow's updated appearance, Nick Fury's costumes, and reimagined takes on both Batroc and Brock Rumlow.
These are all really cool and definitely shed some light on what might have been in this movie (before the Super Soldier costume, it seems as if Steve would have got one quite similar to what we ultimately saw in Avengers: Age of Ultron). Who knows, some of these designs could even factor into Avengers: Endgame seeing as the Russos are at the helm of that too.

Captain America
Captain America's suit needed to be redesigned after his last big screen appearance and this was a very cool take on the hero (he even has a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on his arm which looks very cool).
These behind the scenes photos show how Steve's World War II costume was altered in order to make it more comfortable for Chris Evans and to ensure it looked as good on screen as possible.
A closer look at how Captain America's mask was redesigned both for his present day and World War II era costumes, this is a design that Marvel Studios has understandably stuck with ever since.
Black Widow
Black Widow took on a leading role in this movie and while many fans were hoping for romance between her and Steve Rogers, we instead got to witness the beginnings of a strong friendship.
Nick Fury before and after the injury he sustained at the hands of the Winter Soldier. The now-former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director sadly took something of a back seat following the events of this movie.
Batroc
This is a totally different take on Batroc (as are the versions you'll see below) but you can see how they ultimately inspired the badass version which ended up on the big screen in 2014.
It doesn't appear as if there were ever any plans for Crossbones to appear in this movie but it did serve as an origin story for Brock Rumlow...before he was killed off in short order two years later.
