CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR To Have "Controversial" Ending; 'Pepper Potts' Confirmed To Appear

Captain America: Civil War is going to be a very big movie, and that's something which was emphasised by Joe Russo in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. Asked about the ramifications this first Phase 3 movie will have, the co-director revealed that, "The consequences of Civil War will have an even more significant impact [than The Winter Soldier]. In Civil War, we're going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Psychology, and it's an extreme shift." He added: "Winter Soldier was a political thriller; this is a psychological thriller." Now, there have been a lot of rumours about how the end of the movie is going to play out, and Anthony went on to promise that fans should expect a "very dramatic ending that will be controversial for a lot of people."

As well as mentioning that test audiences have been split when it comes to rooting for either #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan, the magazine confirms that Gwyneth Paltrow took part in reshoots for Captain America: Civil War, so we now know for sure that Pepper Potts will be back!

Going back to the way the movie wraps up and it definitely sounds as if we should expect it to set the stage for Thanos' impending arrival on Earth in Avengers: Infinity War. "We've written three movies about a pretty stoic guy, and now we get to write for all the gang," co-writer Stephen McFeely teased. "But Civil War was a walk in the park compared to these other two. We're writing scenes for characters that haven't been cast yet..." That was a sentiment echoed by Joe as he cleared up just how these movies are all tied together. "We wanted Winter Soldier, Civil War, and the Infinity War films to have a strong through line. We look at this movie as setting the stage for Infinity War, how it starts and what condition everybody is in." What do you guys think?

@MattBellissimo - I don't think he will. And of he somehow DOES, it would be a spit to the face to the audience when they bring him back in IW. Death means nothing in comics, and I'd hat the trend to continue in the movies (then again, Coulson........)

@GoogleWasMyIdea - I'd be very surprised if they don't man. Only because it IS in keeping with the end of the comic, and it really would define Cap's "sacrifice".

PLUS, just because he may return for IW DOESN'T mean it'll be permanent. We'll be dealing with space, magic, and all that jazz. Could be a temporary resurrection.

@GoogleWasMyIdea - Of course, not saying you're wrong. I don't know shit about how this movie ends. Lol. But in keeping with the themes of the Cap trilogy, I'll be VERY surprised if he's not dead by the end.

At least their tying up some loose ends. Reinforce that cohesion. Liking that we at least get to see Pepper return. It's easy to forget she's in the is universe sometimes haha. Those throw away lines that reference her are noce, but now have some credibility.

Tony's still in that cave in Afghanistan and everything that's taken place since Iron Man has been his hallucination.

@blackandyellow - I've grown to like them since I moved to PA but truth be told I'm a Red Sox fan.

@blackandyellow - I really like the Pirates organization tho. They're really close to putting it all together there! Great ball park too!

@cbostont102 - Nice. As long as they don't start slow again this year they should be in good shape. The NL Central and AL East are the two strongest divisions in baseball, so the Red Sox and Pirates are both [frick]ed in that department.

@blackandyellow - Ain't the truth! I could live without ever seeing another Sox/Yankee playoff game. I love seeing them 19 times during the season but if you win the division that should be enough! lol You're Bucs would've been dominating any other division so I feel that pain.

The Sox got what they deserved last year when they thought they could live what such a poor excuse of a pitching staff. Things are definitely looking better as far as that's concerned. I think you're infield can be better this year if Kang is healthy and Josh Harrison keeps producing.

Pepper's cameo better be just 20 secs or less. I've seen enough of her.
