In yet another portion of MTV's recent interview with
Captain America:The first Avenger star Chris Evans, Chris has plenty to say about why so many CBMs are being made. He also discusses who the films are made for.
“First and foremost, these movies get made because they built an audience. If you didn’t have this kind of following and awareness of the property, I don’t think the producers would be as eager to dump all this money into the movies. So, first and foremost, we need the fans, we owe the fans, the fans are what makes these movies work."
“They are everywhere right now because the truth is there is a great blueprint when it comes to comic books – you can really turn to something that is already so well laid out. The format of a comic book, it’s such a seamless transition from a comic book to a film; I mean that is the storyboard. So you have this tangible product to bring to all these creative people to say 'this is the goal, this is the look, this is what we’re after.'”
After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals.
