The same source, Liam, who sent me information last week about actors in WWII attire filming around the docks in Liverpool has now got in touch with some specific dates for when Captain America: The First Avenger will be both there and in Manchester!
These come directly from the casting agency who we've previously heard were looking for male and female extras. Here is an excerpt from their email:
You have applied to The Casting Collective in response for our search for ‘Extras’ needed in Manchester & Liverpool for a sequence on a major new feature film called FROSTBITE.
If you fit ALL the criteria below, and are free for both the fitting and the filming dates we would like to invite you to an open casting on Saturday 21st August in Manchester. Full details are at the end of this email.
Well, this once again confirms that the Marvel Studios blockbuster will be using the "Frostbite" alias when filming. Below are the specific dates of when they'll be in the area although they've not yet revealed any of the locations.
FILMING DATES – MANCHESTER & LIVERPOOL
At the moment you need to be free for ALL of these filming dates however this is subject to change once filming begins. We will confirm dates when we book you.
Filming dates: SEPT 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th & OCT 1st
Of course, we already know that they'll be filming in Manchester's Northern Quarter and possibly Liverpool's Albert or Princes Dock so now we can only hope that we'll get some more specifics in the coming weeks.
