if Marvel keeps their nose out and stops shoving the Avengers down our throast this could be as Good and as faithful as Batman Begins, but with the themes of the books

Fantastic find. I'm not sure I want to see the Red Skull until trailers come out, I don't want to ruin that surprise. On the other hand, there's no point in hiding the photo's of the English sets. Once you mention a country is historically important during the war, people are going to know what you're talking about and probably the landmarks involved. THAT'S probably why the set photo's are coming so fast and furious.

No hypocrite here. I've kept my same opinion the whole time: I was looking forward to this film until Evans got the role of Cap. I just can't stand him. So this and the Avengers may be a rental at best for me.
Some people on here weren't too happy with Evans either, but warmed up to the idea. I wouldn't call them hypocrites.

Great find Josh! I hope we can keep getting pictures at this rate throughout the rest of production. If only the whole movie was shot in Liverpool...

Funny CAPtion time!

Everyone in the city knew about Dave's cocaine problem. They just chose to go about their lives.

RED SKULL: "That's right, I canceled the Spectacular Spider-Man & there's nothing you can do about it!"
CAPTAIN AMERICA: "You bastard! I am gonna straight up murder your ass!"
RED SKULL: "I also canceled Wolverine & the X-Men!"
CAP: "Okay that one I'm not too upset about."

There are only two lines I'd like to hear during the movie: Bucky: Where'd they get all the Flash Gordon tech.? Steve: You wouldn't believe me if I told you.

Even if this isn't in the movie, I DEFINITELY want to see this movie.
Starsapphire: That is CLASSIC!

@ shocker

i don't think chris evans is the right choice for captain america, but i'm liking what marvel studios is currently doing with their charactors.

1.iron man (very good)
2.the incredible hulk (very good)
3.iron man (good, but it had its faults)

with thor, captain america & the avengers all on the way.

i think things are looking good at marvel.

CBArtist: Try to look at Evans role this way: He ran after it. He has to EARN IT in order to satisfy the fans and establish in relevancy as an actor . If he doesn't, that's another black mark on his VERY weak career and he'll have even MORE trouble getting dramatic roles. Did you see any of the SDCC interviews with him? I think he understands the significance of what he's doing. Lastly, just because skeptical people are warming up to this movie doesn't make them hypocrite's. Joe Johnston is a better director than Tim story is, he should pull better than average performances out of Evans. Both the actor and director have a LOT riding on this.

Thanks guys - I'm glad that most of you are still enjoying these sorts of pictures! Like you, I'd love to see photos of Evans as Cap, but there's no way we'll see stuff like that until Marvel decide to release it officially! Until then, I'm pretty content with stuff like this as it allows us to not only get a feel of the look of the movie and how authentic it'll be, but we can also piece what we see together which give us clues as to what they're filming! (something we werent able to do with the likes of Thor or Green Lantern!) :)

And as for Chris Evans, I was always 100% sure that either Jensen Ackles or Ryan McPartlin were the right guys for the job and would have never suggested him. However, ever since they announced that he got it, I honestly think he's better than those two and everyone else I heard suggested. Marvel have made a great choice with Evans as those recent pictures of him (as well as his comments these past few months) surely prove!

Why am I hearing so many people complain about Avengers teasers in these Marvel films? DC fans would KILL at the opportunity to see Superman make an appearance in Green Lantern. Maybe if a Justice League film was getting made instead of the Avengers, there wouldn't be so much hate? :/

@JoshW: I feel the exact same way about Evans. For years I wanted to see Brad Pitt get the part - especially after seeing Troy, where he showcased his ability to use/throw a shield effectively - he proved that he had a great authoritative presence and can play a great commanding leader. I also wanted a Fight Club reunion, since Norton was Banner... But I knew it'd never happen.

Then they released their shortlist, and the only actor there that had my support was McPartlin. Then Chris Evans was cast and I loved it. He's perfect. And he's gonna do great - I've always liked him and I couldn't be more excited for his casting. I'm really glad they thought outside the box with this one - and if anyone doubts him as a serious actor - watch 'Sunshine' and 'London'.

Great stuff Josh@!
I for one appreciate these pics!
I want to see everything connected
to this production cuz I truly love
Cap's character!

He's not just AMERI-CAN he's
the EVERY-MAN! The guy who could
have been anybody that was turned into
THE "WORLD'S HERO" in "WORLD War II".

I just love it all and I think Chris is
gonna knock this role right out of the
baseball park! IT'S A HOMER & a WINNER!

BTW, Josh@ I know you're extremely
busy getting all these cool pics and scoops
but if you can find the time check out
my Moon Knight fancast in fanfic and
see what you think!

I used Bill Nighy as Peter Alraune
instead of him as Khonshu, like you did!
I didn't do this to dis your fancast,
I already had him down for Alraune
before you released your MK fancast.
It's just a Quinkiedink (coincidence)!

That reminds me. At some point in the film they need to play "America, [frick] Ya" from Team America. Though the style is not realy 40-ish, it could make fun cameo. Does anyone have any ideas how they would like it incorperated into the film?

What are you guys more excited for? Captain America? Or Thor? For me it was Captain America, by a long shot...until the images of Thor came out. Now i'm torn.

i don't get people praise every marvel film but when it comes to x-men they bitch, how do ya know this movie will be good cause it don't matter if its being made by marvel it can be bad or it can be good so ya can't judge movies from studios cause the movie can go either way cause if this movie [frick]s up bye bye to avengers. and i personality think dc is ahead of marvel, and i also think that x-men first class will get a lot more money than captain America.

OldManLogan- x-men first class, Thor, the green hornet, transformer 3 and green lantern those are the movie im looking forward to.

deadpool72- actually no marvel made one big mistake if one of these movies fail Thor or captain America avengers is [frick]ed.

Ahh, horsefeathers! The problem with Fox is they bully their directors into making dark characters or edgy storylines into fluffy, gumball crapola that I wouldn't feed to a dying marmut. Then they slap the good ol' PG-one-three on the s**tsandwich and everyone takes a $12 bite and complains. That's why Marvel Studios rock. Yeah, they take a few liberties with backstory and preposition (much lie Fox) but you still get the core of the character. Not some watered down version that won't scare the kiddies or offend the (pseudo) Christian-right. Give me good storytelling over great special effects any day of the week.
