Courtesy of the Captain America/Manchester Filming Blog, new set images for the Captain America movie reveals the first look at actress Hayley Atwell in character as Peggy Carter, the potential love interest of Steve Rogers, Chris Evans.



The actress was also captured on video, running from the accurately built Antique shop, which is believed to be the secret hideout for Operation: Rebirth. Watch below as she gets her closeup before a rigged car explodes behind her.



Captain America hits theaters July 22, next year.

jusme: The other Marvel movies didn't film in the middle of busy city streets that had to come to a complete halt for shooting purposes.There are people everywhere watching shoots of this nature. We are going to get many more Cap photo's, including photo's of the stars themselves. It's unavoidable.

Great work DCMF! :) I'm intrigued about what sort of role Peggy will play in this movie...wasn't she rumoured to be a nurse as well at some point!? Regardless, I have a feeling we're going to see pictures of even more prominent cast members in the coming days...perhaps even Evans as Cap too!

@intruder-We cant really say anything about Evens yet sense we havent really seen him on set yet. but if i remember from the comics Peggy is blonde and Sharon is supposed to be a spitting image of Peggy
