Jensen Ackles Added To The Captain America Short List!

Apparently fan favorite Jensen Ackles is still in the running for Captain America?

According to Collider, Jensen Ackles is still in contention to play Captain America.

They are reporting that there are seven, not six actors on the short list.

John Krasinski, Scott Porter, Garrett Hedlund, Chace Crawford, Michael Cassidy, and Mike Vogel have already been reported all over the net. Collider adds Jensen Ackles to the list.

Collider reports that the problem with both Hedlund and Ackles is scheduling. His commitment to Supernatural seems to conflict with the Captain America shooting schedule. I find it hard to believe something could not be worked out.

I have by no means been an advocate of Ackles for Captain America but with the other choices available, I hope he can find some time in his schedule for the role. I can't believe I'm saying this but of the names mentioned, he is far and away the best choice.

So does that mean that McPartlin is officially out? And is it me or besides Ackles these guys are all really young? Is Cap going to be the played by a guy that gets carded for trying to buy Lotto tickets? If these are our choices, than I hope really hope Jensen is our man.

Its nothing official. Collider just added up all the recent news that have been reported about Cap. Remember reading that Jensen was at one point considered, but isn't anymore.

MF: The Hollywood Reporter also noted that Garret Hedlund of the upcoming "Tron Legacy" and "Supernatural" star Jenson Ackles were both in consideration for screen testing, however currently both actors have scheduling conflicts that may make them unavailable to take the role. And of course, considering the many rounds of casting it took Marvel Studios and Kenneth Branagh to cast the unknown Hemsworth as Thor, none of the above candidates may finally take the red, white and blue shield for a spin.

Jensen would be ideal as Captain America. The rest of them on this list would just ruin the movie. None of them exude strength and character like Jensen does. And for a man to be Captain, you have to be able to believe in him just by looking at him.

Also as a fan of Supernatural I am torn. This would be a great role for him but I want another season, Also, I sit back and think how good could season 6 be? Where can you go after the Apocalypse. But "In Kripke We Trust!" So I am torn on whether or not this is good..

I'd like a sixth season of Supernatural but I'm happy for them to end it after the fifth as originally planned - and even to Ackles haters, surely you guys can see that he's a better choice than the rest of those guys!?!

Yes, I know I shouldnt judge the guy so soon but he doesnt have the right look, personality or voice for Cap so I'm pretty sure he's an awful choice for the role! :P
