New Captain America Shield-Wielding Details!

New production details for Marvel & Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger sheds light on the Patriots's mighty shield, and it's usage behind-the-lens. Check it Out!

Inside Dutch magazine Veronica is an on-set report & a few images which were posted in low-res on Christmas Eve for the much-anticipated Captain America: The First Avenger film. While the report has been covered, the magazine also shared minor details to the patriot's mighty shield-slinging.

"They mention that 25 shields were made for the production. Small ones were made for the fighting and running, and one was even made out of bronze that was impossible to lift. Chris Evans in some scenes threw a 'green frisbee' that will be turned into the shield using special effects."

I think the second pic is set in Hydra HQ, but I doubt its Red Skull's transformation sequence. Maybe its the scene where he goes rogue and disassociates from the Nazi party.

I have never been the biggest Captain America fan (although I did start liking him a lot more after his anti-registration stance during Civil War), but I am really looking forward to thus movie. I think it's going to be great!

@Guason - Superman has trown stuff from Earth into the Sun and has hit a baseball to the moon and nailed a target in the bullseye. Captain American is not even in the same league as Superman.

I know this is probably the trailler made just for ComicCon, with random moments from Iron Man and TIH, but it's still a trailler for the movie nonetheless. It's something to get you excited, I for goddamn sure am.

Also, see at 1:13, and also on the very last shot, that the wings are real! At least with that uniform.

The moment with Nick Fury is so f*cking epic!

I don't know about the rest of you but there is one gratuitous scene that I think is a must in The Avengers and it's one that has appeared in the comics hundreds of times. I want to see a slow motion shot from above whoever the villain is, that shows Caps shield, Thor's hammer, Hawkeyes arrow and Iron Man's repulsor rays hitting him at the same time.

If they include that scene as it has appeared throughout the ages in the comics, I may self destruct on the spot.

I predict the trailer will be coming out with the Green Hornet on Jan 14th, or Sanctum on February 4th. I have a feeling it'll be in front of Green Hornet. The sooner the better right? :D

Still think its stupid having silver in the shield, defeats the purpose of it being the flags colors lol???

But I too can't wait for the trailer, it wont be no Thor or Green Lantern, but its the third must see superhero movie thats for sure!

@steelrocks30: I was at Comic Con and saw the teaser trailer. That was not it. Clearly fan made. There were clips from Hellboy, Resident Evil, Wolfman, and TIH. The real teaser trailer showed some planes super imposed flying over a map of Earth and WW2 sirens going off. Narration about the times and what have you. Then you see a shadowed Captain America as the camera pans up from a floor onto him. At the last minute he throws the shield at the camera. Thats all. Also they showed some test work with Hugo Weaving looking for the cosmic cube. He had not become the Red Skull at this point.
