Apparently, there is "talk" of the much-anticipated
Captain America: The First Avenger film, inside the latest issue of
SFX Magazine, courtesy of
SuperHeroHype forums. Although, more excitingly, there is a new image consisting of Johann Schmidt, (Hugo Weaving) the Red Skull holding the Tesseract; known well as the cosmic cube. Click on the scanned-image below for a larger size.
For those who don't already know, the device Schmidt is wielding here, is one of the known elements in the film that connects with Marvel's much-anticipated THOR adaptation. On it's capabilities via Wiki, an otherwise semi-transparent cube, the Cosmic Cube glows from the energy captured within it. Tapping into the power of the Cube, its user can literally reshape reality to his whim. In fact, the Cube incubates an energy being — an entity of great power from the dimension of the Beyonders. The entity is capable of self-evolving intelligence and, when fully emerged from the Cube, bases its appearance on the beings who have interacted with it. (Making the Shaper of Worlds base its appearance on the Skrulls, for example.)
