CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR: Amazing Concept Art Shows Off Alternate Costume Designs For THE AVENGERS - Part 2

Avengers: Infinity War is set to be released next month and with so much of the movie shrouded in secrecy, fans continue speculating about what could be on the way when Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the Guardians of the Galaxy assemble to battle Thanos.  We're obviously going to have to wait and see but one of the most intriguing aspects is how it will deal with Captain America: Civil War's fallout.

In that movie, The Avengers were split in two when Captain America and Iron Man fell on very different sides of the Sokovia Accords and the heroes all went their separate ways when all was said and done.

We're now taking a look at some concept art from Captain America: Civil War (which was basically Avengers 3 long before Infinity War) and this second batch
puts the focus on alternate costume designs for Iron Man, The Falcon, and the Scarlet Witch as she dons her iconic headband!

To check out the full list of awesome artwork - most of which has never been seen online before - all you need to do is click on the buttons below and then share your thoughts in the comments section.

Iron Man

Iron Man's appearance has always evolved from movie to movie but this take on his Captain America: Civil War suit is quite a bit different to what ended up on the big screen a little under two years ago.

It's interesting to note that this version of Tony Stark's armour is a lot bulkier than what ended up on the big screen and it's a shame we didn't get to see this because it looks pretty damn badass.

This was meant to be a stealth suit for Iron Man and those small arc reactors you see spread all over his armour were meant to scan his surroundings and then help him essentially turn "invisible."

Another bulkier take on Iron Man's familiar suit, one of the most interest aspects of this version is the fact that the main arc reactor is housed within a square which is quite different to what we're used to.

Here, we see what was pretty much the final version of the suit which ended up on the big screen and this artwork provides a much closer look at the mini arc reactors covering it from head to toe.

The Falcon

Moving into Captain America: Civil War, The Falcon was finally given a suit a little closer to the one worn by his comic book counterpart. Making good use of red, it was first glimpsed in Ant-Man.

When The Falcon was first introduced, he donned a tactical military suit which didn't really bear much of a resemblance to the costume worn by his comic book counterpart. This one changes that!

This gorgeous shot of The Falcon flying into action shows the hero joined by Redwing, a drone which stands in for its comic book counterpart: an actual Falcon telepathically linked to Sam Wilson.

Scarlet Witch

At the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Scarlet Witch was wearing a superhero suit but the Russos decided to dial that back and gave Wanda a more practical costume not quite as comic book-y.

Wanda's look hasn't really changed all that much heading into Avengers: Infinity War but most fans agree that Marvel has found a look for the character which works really well on the big screen.

Can you spot the difference here? That's right, Wanda has been given her classic headband in the first piece and while it's a little more grounded than the one from the comic books, it works well.

It's easy enough to understand why Marvel decided against given the Scarlet Witch that headband but it is a shame we're probably never going to see it on the big screen...unless it pops up in Avengers 4?

I really like those Iron Man Armor Designs. This is a minor thing but I do kind of miss how heavy Iron Man's Armors used to be. Like when he lands you can even hear the metal, but now his armors are lighter and it feels like his armor is out of plastic because its lighter. But realistically it makes sense for his armors to become lighter because they are evolving. Idk just a thought

@MeAreLegend - no different than bullet proof vests, they used to be heavy and clunky but now are made of Kevlar and are thin and hardly noticeable...just evolution of technology so you make a fair point mate

@MeAreLegend - good point. But they haven't done away with that effect.
If you'll remember in civil war, after the cap bucky Falcon panther highway chase, rhodey lands ... intervening, and you can hear the impact of his landing!

I hope his armor always remains bulky

@Vigor - Oh yes I agree. They definetely haven't done away with that with War Machine. His armor should always be bulky so I'm glad to see him keep the metal impact landing sound. But Iron Man's Armor on the other hand doesnt have that anymore. At 0:16 you cant really hear Iron Man land but with War Machine you can

@MeAreLegend - I think they are saving a bulkier suit for A4. I think they actually want him to not only look high tech this time, but maybe accidently somewhat vulnerable. But stay tuned for this guy in A4 (fingers crossed)

@MarkV - Would be super cool to see the Iron Destroyer! If Avengers 4 really goes back in time to the events of the Avengers we could see Tony suit up in his older, bulkier armors; this is reaching alot though and just wishful thinking haha. I do want to see the Black and Gold Armor at some point too

My favorite because it reminds me of what Iron Man is supposed to be... a man in a suit of protection.
The latest incarnations of Iron Man, movies and comics, including Bleeding Edge, being so thin and malleable, have let me down. The first Red & Gold suit in the first movie was definitely my style and what I've always thought of when "Iron Man" is mentioned.

@KindredMac - this one reminds me of the modular armour seen in the 90’s that was also used in the 90’s cartoon...I quite like it
