It's been a long time coming but the first trailer for Captain Marvel has finally landed and while it's most definitely just a teaser, the reaction so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Right now, the signs are all pointing to this being yet another critical and commercial hit for Marvel Studios and while we've already broken down the trailer's biggest moments, we now have some cool hi-res screengrabs.

When this green suit was first spotted in set photos, a lot of fans weren't happy with what they saw. However, it definitely looks better on screen and it's good that there's a story reason for it.
The Marvel Studios logo getting a redesign for each new movie has become something of a tradition in recent years and Captain Marvel's being blue and gold obviously makes a whole lot of sense.
An alien autopsy and a spaceship above Earth; there's no denying that this movie is embracing its sci-fi roots and the visuals look great here despite the movie being so many months away right now.
Captain Marvel's powers look very cool and it definitely appears as if Marvel Studios is sticking to the source material when it comes to portraying them. However, this clearly isn't Carol at full power.
I don't think we'll see any signs of romance between Carol Danvers and Nick Fury in this movie but the age gap between them isn't too huge at this point in time so it's definitely worth considering.
Hala is somewhere we heard a lot about in Guardians of the Galaxy but we never got to visit Ronan's homeworld. That's going to change in this movie. We'll presumably visit the home of the Skrulls too.
The visuals in this movie definitely appear to be much stronger than Ant-Man and The Wasp and probably more along the lines of Black Panther because there are some stunning shots in this trailer.
Here, we get a tease of Carol's powers and a first look at her best friend Maria Rambeau. The mother of Monica, common sense says we'll see her daughter become a superhero somewhere down the line.
Perhaps the most intriguing shots in this trailer, Carol is clearly being held captive here and something is being done to her head. That could explain why she doesn't seem to remember her past.
There's not enough Starforce in this trailer (did we really need so many shots of Carol's childhood instead) but building some intrigue around this team is no bad thing and bound to get fans talking.
The contrast of seeing Carol at different stages of her life is very interesting and you can bet that Brie Larson knows what she's doing in that cockpit because she trained with real pilots before shooting.
In one of the trailer's most bizarre sequences, Carol punches an elderly woman, something which is bound to confuse causal moviegoers who aren't aware that she's probably a villainous Skrull.
Entertainment Weekly promised that we'll get to see Starforce on at least one mission in this movie and this explosion on what is quite clearly an alien planet has to be related to that in some way.
Agent Coulson hasn't been seen on the big screen since 2012's The Avengers and so it's going to be a real treat catching up with a younger version here, especially if you don't watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Captain Marvel's mohawk is something fans have been hoping we'd see on screen since day one and given the movie's 90s setting, it being used here makes perfect sense. Will we see it in Avengers 4?
The moment Carol Danvers receives her powers, it seems as if Marvel Studios may be taking some liberties with the source material in order to deliver an original take on the character's origin.
That mask looks really cool, right? With any luck, we'll also get to see that in red, blue, and gold because that's obviously what most fans are hoping to see make it to the big screen rather than green.
Marvel needed to find a money shot for this trailer and there's no denying that this is it. Kevin Feige has said she's the MCU's most powerful superhero and those abilities are on full display here.
Awesome, right? Captain Marvel really can't get here soon enough and getting to see Carol Danvers unleash her powers on Thanos next April is going to be an absolute blast (no pun intended).
Captain Marvel finally has a new logo thanks to this trailer but would we be better off calling her Binary? After all, it certainly appears as if Carol is powering up in a significant way in this shot.
