Hello ComicBookMovie.com! Whether you prefer Marvel or DC or even Image or Dark Horse we are all fans of comics and the movies that are sometimes based on them. Not all comic book movies are great and not all of them always turn out the best, but in the end it is always a thrill to see some of our favorite comic characters on the big screen. Ever since the late 80's actors and actresses like Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, Michael B. Jordan or tthe late great Heath Ledger have been met with great controversy when cast in a comic book movie. However enough looking at the past, it is time to look towards the future and what could happen with the Superhero genre. With big studios like Fox, Warner Bros., Sony and Marvel setting release date for future  films all the way out to 2020 it looks like the genre will only grow bigger and bigger. It seemed appropiate since we are all currently living in the golden age of comic book films to discuss which actors or actresses we would like to see have a role in the future comic book movies soon to come.

Jason Clarke

Jason Clarke has been in numerous films and has given fantastic performances in all of them, you might know him from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), Public Enemies (2009)Zero Dark Thirty (2012) or Lawless (2012). He is such a natural actor and his performances always seem so natural. In my opinion his best performance to date was either Dan in Zero Dark Thirty (2012) or Howard Bondurant in Lawless (2012). He is such a versatile actor that I honestly think he could play any comic book character. Off the top of my head I feel like he could play characters like Wildcat, Captain Mar-Vell, Sentry, Hawkman, Question, Starhawk or even Namor for gods sake. Which comic character do you think Jason Clarke could handle?

Joel Edgerton

I feel like Joel Egerton is one of those actors who is always on the cusp of becoming a house hold name. He has appeared in films like Warrior (2011)Animal Kingdom (2010)Zero  Dark Thiry (2012)The Great Gatsby (2013) and a minor role in both Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith as Owen Lars. After Warrior (2011) came out everyone was raving over Tom Hardy's performance, and well Hardy did steal the show the performance that struck me the most was Joel Edgerton. There is something that is just so subtle about the way he acts. I really hope he gets a big role like Flash, Steve Trevor, Guy Gardner, Hulkling, Iron Fist or Wonder Man so he can finally become a house hold name. Do you want Joel Edgerton to play a Superhero in the near future?

Gwendoline Christie

Gwendoline Christie is mostly known for her role as Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones (2011 - ). However she does have a big career ahead of her with roles in Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) and Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 (2015). I think she is a fantastic actress and I love her in Game of Thrones (2011 - ). I really want to see her in a future Superhero film because I feel like she can add a lot of depth and complexity to any character she plays. However I am a little stumped on what characters she could play... I thought maybe she could play someone like She-Hulk, but honestly I can not figure out what role she should play. Can you think of anyone Gwendoline Christie should play?

Robin Wright

Robin Wright is most known for her roles in Forrest Gump (1994)The Princess Bride (1987)Moneyball (2011), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and House of Cards (2013 - ). If any of you have watched House of Cards (2013 - ) you know how chilling and calculating Robin Wright can be. I personally would love to see her appear in a future comic book movie. It would be awesome to see her as Cassandra Nova in a future X-Men film, if they ever decide to go in that weird of a route. I could also see her playing Madame Hydra or maybe an aged and wise Squirrel Girl! All kidding aside who do you want to see Robin Wright as?

Noah Taylor

Noah Taylor is a very talanted and yet unkown actor, he has appeared in Edge of Tomorrow (2014)The Double (2013), Submarine (2010)The Proposition (2005)Lawless (2012) and also in HBO's Game of Thrones (2011 - ). Now he may not be the most well known or popular actor, but I believe if he was given the chance he could play a bad ass Supervillian. I would love to see him get a big role as maybe Victor Zsasz, Riddler, Carnage, Onomatopoeia or even the big bad himself Joker! If you haven't seen any of his work you should really try and see some of his films he is an amazing actor.

Thanks for taking the time to read my editorial, please feel free to leave which actors and actresses you want to see in future comic book movies below in the commentsl. Thanks for reading!
