Can DCCU work without some of its major characters?

With DCCU assembling at a slow pace, would it even be slower if Batman or Superman was with another studio?

Marvel Cinematic Universe is pretty much the envy of all major studios in hollywood due to the success of Avengers movies and GOTG.This is all dispite having most of their main characters owned by other studios like X-men & Fantastic Four at FOX,joint custody of Spiderman with Sony just happened recently.DCCU started with Man of Steel which divided comic book fans and it will be followed by a much anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March 25, 2016.Warner Bros has all the keys to the DCCU but lets take away only BATMAN.

Batman is extremely an important part of building the DCCU and he can carry his own movies as demonstrated in the Dark Knight triology. His influence in the DC universe is felt becouse of the big gallarey of characters it contains. Two of the upcoming DC movies have strong Batman influences like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice nothing to say here,Suicide Squad coming out in August 5,2015 has The Joker,Deadshot,Harley Quinn,Deadshot who are all Batman villains and he is also rumoured to appear and Arrow Tv show has plenty of Batman villains. So if Batman rights were at another studio how do you see the DCCU working out.
