Because some writers take the Frank Miller approach that Batman and Superman at their cores hate each other and beyond a very frail truce aren't trying to murder each other every chance they get. Screw Superman and Batman have any form of respect for each other they really really hate each other.

You want a good other world storyline that has Superman and Batman fight against each other but not because they hate each other but because their convictions are polar opposite of each other. Go read Kingdom Come that was a great comic book with beautiful art. Through it all they still respected each other Superman even asks Batman to be his child's godfather to help in raising him/her.

urrrhhh is there a time when hero's arnt fighting each other these days ?
The idea of them fighting each other should happen once a decade in comics and once in a generation in films but its becoming so common they're coming accross as weak, arrogant and petty indiviguals

As much as i loved avangers when cap, thor and IM were fighting each other i just thought what the [frick] ?!?!?!?!?!?!
where is there sence of priority ? wheres tony's smarts, thor's better attitude, caps ability to read situations ????

MOS 2 can kiss my grits if it turns out that fight each other constantly and then on a whim they decide to team up just becuase of paradeamons/jail break/inset weak plot point to bring them together moment

This book started great with the first story, but this 2nd story they have is completely confusing and sort of silly

Love this series. And love this arc so far. The horizontal thing is a bit annoying but the story is awesome, and the action fantastic. And Brett Booth is doing an amazing job on the art.

Jae Lee is good for certain stories but overall I dont like his art. Not too excited about him coming back next story arc. But at least the story sounds cool with earth 2 crossover.

Also love how Pak writes the worlds finest, glad that all the doucheness in the beginning of this arc was mind control or whatever. But funny enough I don't think he writes Clark well in Action comics.

Guys, READ THE FREAKIN STORY!!!!!

Because that is not what is happening at all.

They are actually working together on this one, just freakin actually know whats going on before u complain.

How would a punch from Batman even hurt Superman?! I just don't get this. I mean, if Batman could beat up Superman in any way then wouldn't he become the most powerful superhero?! The question people should really be asking instead of why are they fighting is why is Batman's skin pasty white? and his eyes red? And how could he fly and how does he have super powers?

Obviously something is happening and you need to read the story to get the context.

@Jollem I have that Spidey/X-force comic as well. I beleive there was some WTC bombing as part of the storyline (waaay before 09/11).

Superman is becoming the biggest p*ssy of the Justice League if he can't even handle fighting Batman....I'm on my way to giving DC the thumbs down for such sh*tty writing............

Oh but its really all just to make Batman fit in and be more relevant....
