Possible Batman Arkham City release date?

Possible Batman Arkham City release date?

I was on gamestop.com and saw the release date they had listed.

Not much information here, but they listed October 3, 2011 on the website as the release date. Take this with a grain of salt because there hasn't been an official release date, but if its true that is a long wait. But I'm sure Black Ops will keep me busy.

It seems to me like people are just hypnotized by the fact that this is a good Batman game. Game of the year? give me a break.

The first one was good, yes, but it wasn't great.

It had great graphics, but that gets thrown out the window when you're playing a game where you have to be in some alternate vision mode for 75% of it. "Detective Mode" takes all the detail out of the fantastic graphics. Terrible.

It was very monotonous. Enter new area, search for glowing objects in detective mode, then fight. And the fighting? I'm sorry, but pounding the attack button repeatedly and pushing in the direction of an enemy is about the weakest fighting system you can possibly put in a game. How about making one or two more attack buttons so we can actually do combos.

It might be the best Batman game ever, but thats not saying much. Game of the year is an insult. There are MANY other 3rd person adventure games that are way better than this.
