Next week Justice League #6 concludes the first arc of the revamped "New 52" series from Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, and sees the team come face to face with Darkseid for the first time in the DCnU. Here is a first glimpse at Lee's cover art..





Says Lee of the cover..

“I wanted to create a cover which resonated with what I consider to be the most classic Darkseid story – namely the Great Darkness Saga – so that entailed the Justice League bowing down naturally to the power of Darkseid. Except of course Batman who, despite not having powers, fights with all his strength in defiance.”

That looks awesome. The last three issues haven't been as phenomenal as the first two, but this issue could be the best one yet.

Darkseid looks kind of ugly (due to his design, I believe)...but that cover is awesome indeed.

@HulkbusterNYC Darkseid isn't attacking the JL - aside from Superman - they are willfully bowing to Darkseid, assumingly begging him to stop the attack on Earth. But Batman bows to no one.

superman7: Haha. :P Not sure if you're being sarcastic or what, but I mean, in his classic look he's ugly in a cool way (because the design wasn't bad); while this redesign does look kind of silly...add in Darkseid's natural ugly look, and the ugliness' doubled!

Also i like Batman as much as the next guy but they milk him far too much lately, i'd like for it to have been a team effort rather than just Bats having to stand up for the rest, i dare say i get sick of Batman riding the main front.
