Comics are often the gateway to new and young readers who see more visual and close codes in these works. Its appearance is also one of the things that most attracts the audiovisual world that has brought a multitude of adaptations to the big screen. Coinciding with the first celebration, this March 17 , of Comic Book Day in Spain , we rescue four Spanish film titles that have drawn on this genre to tell their stories.
Memoirs of a Man in Pajamas (2017)
Starring Raúl Arévalo, it is inspired by the comic strip by Paco Roca. A story about his alter ego, named Paco, an inveterate bachelor in his forties, who in the prime of his life achieves his childhood dream: to work from home and in his pajamas. But just when he thought he had found the height of happiness, Jilguero bursts into his life, the girl he falls in love with and who will have to fight to stay by the side of a man whose main objective in life is to stay home in his pajamas. It is also the story of singles and couples, friends of both, who with their funny anecdotes influence their lives and their relationship.
Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles (2019)
Goya winner for Best Animated Film. In Paris, in the year 1930, Salvador Dalí and Luis Buñuel, being the main figures of the surrealist movement, one of them, Buñuel sees how all opportunities close to him after the controversial premiere of "The Golden Age", his first film . However, the sculptor Ramón Acín buys a lottery ticket with the promise that if he wins, he will pay for the documentary he wants to shoot about Las Hurdes, one of the poorest and most forgotten regions of Spain.
Anacleto: The Secret Agent (2014)
Hilarious adaptation to the big screen of the great classic by Manuel Vázquez Gallego. Adolfo is a 30-year-old security agent who is not going through his best time. Mortadelo and Filemón against Jimmy El Cachondo (2014)
Finally, adaptation of one of the most popular comics in our country. An animated film that focuses on the last mission of the inspector couple. The biggest criminal attack against world stability has just taken place, it's a laughing fit.
