Stephen Yeun Felicia Day - H 2014

THR report that Steven Yeun and Felicia Day have signed on to voice Tony Chu and Amelia Mintz in Jeff Krelitz's (Torchwood: Web of Lies, Peter Panzerfaust) animated adaptation of John Layman's Eisner Award winning Image comic series, Chew. The story focuses on a "cibopath" detective (Chu), who gets psychic impressions from the food he consumes. His love interest is a food critic named Amelia Mintz, who is a "saboscrivner" - someone who can write about food so precisely the reader actually feels like they are tasting it. Chew is being executive produced by Layman, the comic's other co-creator, Rob Guillory, and with Scott Boxenbaum.

Effin love this comic, and animation is the best way to do this.If they did do a live action version Donal Logue would be perfect for Mason Savoy, he looks like him.

I thought this was going to be live action. I guess animated does make sense considering the fx budget for Poyo would be pretty high.

The live action version didn't get picked up... I'm actually glad they've decided to do an animated feature. Can't wait to see the chog and poyo.

I don't seem to like the "celebrity" thing going on with Felicia Day.

A little disappointed that it's animated. Was hoping that it would be in live action. I really like Steven Yeun in The Walking Dead so it's good to see him branch out in to other projects.

It's weird that they somewhat resemble their comic book counterparts(sans Mintz's red hair), considering they're just voice actors.

Seems like Steven owes a great deal of his career to properties published by Image Comics.
Hope this project turns out good.
