AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Writer Dan Slott Teases Big SPIDER-MAN Announcement

The current writer of Silver Surfer and Amazing Spider-Man posted an interesting message on Twitter earlier today, with later tweets confirming something big is on the way regarding Marvel's world-famous Wall-Crawler! See what you make of it after the jump.

Shortly before Kevin Feige and co. took to the stage in Hollywood to reveal the line-up of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's third Phase, comic book writer Dan Slott left a cryptic tweet for fans to decipher. Obviously, no one made direct mention of Spider-Man at the Marvel Studios event earlier today, and subsequent tweets reveal that the "freak out" is coming... eventually. Not much to go off, honestly, but since he's been the writer of Amazing Spider-Man and Superior Spider-Man for the past several years, perhaps it's got more to do with comics than movies. What do you think's in store for the Web Head? Speculate away!

The best thing to happen would be if Disney bought the rights back for Spider-man. I don't see that happening, but maybe Disney was able to buy the rights for Tobey Maguire's version of Spider-man. This way Sony can still make their version of The Amazing Spider-man with Andrew Garfield.

I think Tobey's version fits the world of the Avengers more so, then Andrew's. You could say the reason Tobey hasn't been still saving people is because after Harry died, he retired. Now after what happens with Ultron he feels he needs to wear the suit again.

@McGee Replace "write" with "ruin" to be more accurate.

Your welcome. ;P

Given it's Slott, it's something comic book related, not movie related.

It will be titled "Geriatric Justice! - Adventures of the Amazing Spider-Man"
