Hey friends. Well I found another thing to be excited for. The next event series Marvel has in-store for us. The event is titled SHADOWLAND, which is promoting the battle for New Yorks soul....WOW.....Not only is it an interesting title but the roster of characters that are awesome. We got Daredevil, Moon Knight, Spider-man, The Punisher, Elektra, Kingpin, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Bullseye, Ghost Rider,Mr. Negative, Shang-chi, and a new Power Man. So what can expect from this event, well I will try and figure that out.

This event seems to set during the post Siege world which is now in the Heroic Age, where Matt Murdock is unaware of the events that lead to Osborn being taken out of power and all things set right. Heroes are back to saving the day and setting things right with the world. So the villains that have joined the fray are either seeking to claim or reclaim the Shadowland, which is said to be an area were super beings aren't allowed to enter due to the Hand's decree. A recent article over at CBR has said that the "soul of New York" is Daredevil, who seems to be crossing the line between hero and villain.

In terms of characters, we got some great heroes entering the fray. I'm really stoked seeing Ghost Rider in it...why is he there, whose he after, is it Danny or Johnny? We have heroes who more or less handle street level criminals but from time to time enter the much bigger world of villainy. What surprised me was Wolverine, I guess its because he's been an assassin and trained in Japan, so he could be out on a Vendetta. In terms of villains, we got the big guy himself, the Kingpin, lady bullseye, Mr. Negative, Shang-chi, and The Hand. So we have an interesting balance of villains in terms of abilities and style. Kingpin relies on others to do his dirty work, I guess lady bullseye is the same as Bullseye but with boobs, Mr. Negative has cool sounding powers, and Shang-chi is the evil version of Iron Fist.

In terms of events, this seems to be a much simpler event for the Marvel universe. It's not like Siege, which focused mainly on the Avenger teams. This seems to focus mainly on a set place and a set group of characters, which may be subject to change as the event progresses. The setting is obviously New York, so we are gonna be seeing many great street battles and close range fighting, unlike Siege where the heroes fought on open ground and sky.

So I'm looking forward to this event, even tho I haven't read ALL of these characters comic lines, I still appreciate a good story and fun action. We see the begins of this event in July. I'm excited and I'm sure most of you are also. Til next time, BlackAirs out!!!

Sounds interesting... I, being a fan of Jack Russell, really think he would be a good character for this... so, hopefully.

If Marvel Studios had control of the rights to all of its characters, this is what I was thinking they could do as a parallel to Avengers. Have some of the bigger people crossing over leading to Avengers and at the same time have the street level people crossing over and leading to something like this, all in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would just be so awesome!

I love Daredevil, (look at my avatar), I love Moon Knight, but I've been incognito from comics since after House of M and I don't plan on coming back because of these "events" that Marvel and DC keep coming up with...I'm waiting for everything to blow over then will buy the graphic novels so I don't have to search for all the crossover/connections/"special events" that the writers are necessitating...

...and P.S.--of COURSE Wolverine's gonna be in it...he's in everything ELSE...I guarantee you, look for Deadpool too, cause he's the flavor of the year...and you KNOW Spider-Man will show up cause god knows we can't have anything go on without HIM (besides which, if Bendis is writing this, Spider-Man's his little bitch...

...and the thing that gets on my nerves is that everybody knows, that after all is said and done..."status quo is king"...(look it up)
