During  an Investors Conference Call for the Disney Corporation, CEO Bob Iger uttered the following, "We have said that with these channels and these brands -- ESPN, ABC, Disney, maybe even down the road something related to Star Wars and Marvel -- we do have an ability as a company to take product, specifically filmed entertainment, television, movies, directly to consumers." This call was reported by the Site Daily Finance, who claimed that this statement directly alluded to the Creation of Television channels based on Disney's Blockbuster Properties. Given the wording of said statement, it certainly is hard to disagree with them! Given the Fairly Pisspoor Ratings Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D  has recieved on ABC, and the confirmation of the Development of a Star Wars TV Show in Months Past, do you think that these channels are likely at some point in the future? As is the custom with this Site, share your thoughts down below!

I was reading about this earlier and from the sounds of things it will be what SyFy isn't, which is good.

When I read about this the first time yesterday, wasn't sure I wanted it. Now I think it's a good idea, just like Nomis' comic book channel

An ABC Sci-fi/Fantasy channel might work - but a straight up Marvel/ Star Wars channel would run out of content real fast.

I read the interview elsewhere, and what he sounds like he is hinting at is a genre channel, akin to Syfy, which would heavily feature properties like marvel and star wars.

I prefer a channel with Marvel, Star Wars and some original fantasy/sci-fi series, Bob!

To be honest, depending on platforms, on-demand options, price, etc., I might be inclined to subscribe to a specific Marvel channel.

They should do just one channel based around both Marvel/Star Wars and other related stuff.

I don't think there is enough material for a Star-Wars channel but a Marvel channel would be (theoretically) awesome.

I think out of everyone, DC needs this shit the most; they release television shows like it's nothing.

a dc channel would be a great idea. with all of the live action movies and tv shows not to mention cartoons that dc has made. it could be a great channel.
