Well, we all hope Marvel will produce more faithful adaptations of their comic book characters' counterparts for the big screen as they do publish the comic books on which the movies are based actually based on.
Marvel comics Iron Man has had a Whiplash who was introduced back in 1968. He worked for criminal organisation and after him we've had a female who's Whiplash and Blacklash names have appeared also. Plus the Ultimate Iron Man comic has featured an alternative Ultimate version of Whiplash who's called Marc Scott, and there was a female mutant called Leanne Forman that also took the Whiplash name too. Lots of Whiplashes then.
Next year's Iron Man has Ivan Vanko (who doesn't even existed in the Marvel comics yet) who's Whiplash and this time they are taking elements of another Marvel villain Crimson Dynamo with the red-armoured electrically-charged thing to him as well.
Iron Man vs Whiplash number one will feature the new Whiplash, who is yes, Ivan Vanko who Mickey Rourke is playing in the film version. Out on December 3rd and The 2nd issue is out on December 23rd where Ivan Vanko steals Tony Stark's own armour technology for his own wicked use while our good guy Tony ends up in the slammer.
Many thanks to the guys at The Geek Files for the big heads up.
LEEE777 - Anyway the comic book shows us what we can probably expect in the actual movie in Iron Man 2 and if that the final result, a lot of people are gonna cream their pants.
