Poll: What Marvel Property Would You Like To See Adapted Next?

There are a few Marvel characters rumored to be getting the big screen treatment soon. But so far, after The Avengers, Only one has been officially set in stone for development. Click to choose which one you want to see next..

Nothing like a good poll on a Sunday afternoon! Marvel have referenced several characters that they have plans to adapt for the screen but you know what they say about best laid plans? Post Avengers the one we know IS in development is Ant-Man. That as least does have a script being worked on and a director in Scott Pilgrim Vs The World's Edgar Wright. After that most people assume Dr Strange will be next since Kevin Feige has name checked him more than any others. There has also been talk of Black Panther, Luke Cage, more recently The Inhumans as well as countless second tier characters that are (again) rumored) to be optioned for smaller budget movies.

But like I said, nothing is definite. There has been (as far as we know anyway) no screen writers hired for any of these projects and no real movement aside from Marvel putting their names out there. But which one do you guys want to see next?

*Note: Cloak And Dagger have been optioned for a TV show so they won't be included here. I am also including The Silver Surfer although we have seen him on screen, it was in Fox's Fantastic Four sequel and not a solo film.

Again, I can't include everyone from the Marvel Universe. I have limited it to the 19 I think the majority will pick a favourite from, but if you think I have left anyone significant out just click other and let me know in the comments section.

Yeah I wasn't too sure about including Alpha Flight since they are so closely associated with the X-Men. Not sure where the rights are for em.

Dr Strange is definite and instead of doing an individual movies I think they should just do a Heores for Hire with Luke Cage and Iron Fist make it a Superhero buddy film. Moon Knight has the potential to be great TV series. and what happened to all that talk about a Runaways movie happening, personally I hope they make it in to TV show, the best option.

I don't think Moon Knight would work. He's too much like Batman.
Dr.Strange, Nova, Black Panther, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage would be movies, especially Iron Fist

- Iron Fist
- Dr.Strange
- Heroes For Hire (Luke Cage & Iron Fist)
- Nova

Moon Knight would rock..... But i wish Marvel would just get Deadpool on the fast track. Ive been a deadpool fan since way before he started being everywhere and in everything (which Sux) and I have been waiting for a movie for years now. Everybody wants it to happen so Marvel just make it already.

I would love to see Doctor Strange to open up the marvel mystical universe but I disagree with having Johnny Depp play him. He's one of my favorite actors but don't see him in this role. Maybe Daniel Day Lewis, Gerard Butler or (and I hate to say it but put a goatee on him and he's got the look down) Keanu Reeves.

Jazz, it's entirely possible that Marvel have the rights(or could have soon) back for SS. Fox have done nothing with him after the FF sequel and don't seem to want to. Plus, we have seen Punisher movies already. The idea for this is to see a character we haven't seen yet regardless of the studio. Surfer is on there because he never had a solo movie.

@RorMachine

the understanding that i remember is that when FOX or Columbia Pictures uses any character from FF universe or Spider-Man universe it belong to them. so if we get a Silver Surfer solo movie it would be under FOX Studio banner. also you might aswell say Venom could be back at Marvel Studio since he did not get a solo movie.

i think The Prowler has a better chance to be at Marvel Studio cause he never been used in the Spider-Man movies.

R-Rated Moonknight would be awesome. I'd also like to see the rarely heard of Darkhawk comic as a movie.

I'd want to see a Daredevil TV series focusing more on Matt and Foggy's legal firm, basically like Law and Order but with Daredevil in and feature the Kingpin as a long running adversary

@ leee777

x-men would be my first choice, but i can't see fox giving the rights up anytime soon.

the punisher tv show would be awesome maybe having team up episodes with moon knight, daredevil, power man & iron fist.

it could become my new favorite tv show, current favorites are tru blood & the walking dead.

I've enjoyed most Marvel movies (except for Spidey 3, Elektra, Punisher, and Fantastic Four 2). There are still tons I'd love to see.

a new Daredevil, even though I thought the first was pretty decent (except for the park fight. that was just odd).

a Luke Cage/ Iron Fist movie would be cool.

definitely Moon Knight

a new Fantastic Four

Black Panther

Spider-Woman (the Jessica Drew one)

and when are we gonna get a DEADPOOL MOVIE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I would like to see Marvel do Alpha Flight, since they can't do a real X-Men movie this would be the closest thing.

Alpha Flight would be good to introduce mutants into the Marvel film universe.

Pity ALPHA FLIGHTS under X-MEN...

Another reason we need the franchise at Marvel Studios!

Same goes with X-FACTOR! : p

*** VISION ***

Does no one remember this guy?

He's not in any video games since the "Captain America and the Avengers" and he was my favorite character.

He was in "Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow" - and it was about the only great thing about watching that movie.

He's got a great story and he needs his due.

The following are over due for their respectable live action treatments:

1. Black Panther

2. Namor

3. Iron Fist

4. Dr. Strange

5. Luke Cage

Whatever the budget; an R-rated Dare Devil movie would be amazing, given the right creative team.

@Solphins

Agreed, I'm hoping hes introduced in one of the Avengers films.

The entire list is full of characters that are either not worthy of their own comic film for a general audience or are only worthy doing as a guest star in either The Avengers, X-Men or Spiderman movie.

1: Reboot DAREDEVIL and do it properly. Get Luke Ford and whoop him into shape and they'll have a good Matt Murdoch. Forget the Origin Story, just feature Black Widow as a co star and you'll have your Avengers Link to keep the public interested. They can do his origin in a flashback when she explains how SHIELD know all about him. Cast Kane (Glen Jacobs) as the Kingpin and that's your next Marvel movie.

Luke Ford - Matt Murdoch

Glen Jacobs (he's 7' tall) - Kingpin

This parts already taken!

Not including Deadpool (My #1 choice) I'd have to say:
1. Moon Knight- Very original character. With a decent director and (hopefully) an R-rating it'd be hard to screw up. I'd love to see the Crescent Crusader on the big screen.
2. Nova (With Darkhawk Cameo)- Along with Iron Fist, Richard Rider is at the top of Marvel's more popular B-list superheroes. Darkhawk is amazing too. He could appear as an equivalent of what War Machine was in Iron Man 2.
3. Silver Surfer- One of the most interesting characters in the Marvel Universe. He's got such a unique history, and everyone loves him. (NOT a spin-off of Fantastic Four. That would be terrible. But keep Doug Jones and Lawrence Fishburne. :D)
4. Iron Fist- There's already plenty of rumors, and truth be told, Iron Fist is definitely at the top of Marvel's B-list. (Ray Park would be great for the role)
5. Black Panther- He's freaking incredible, everyone loves him, and once again, quite a popular B-list character.
Personally, Marvel needs to drop the idea of sequels, prequels, and reboots. Especially with Iron Man. First was great, the second took a downward free-fall, so it's a pretty safe bet that a third is an extremely bad idea. Avengers will be great. I love the cast. But as soon as Avengers is done, give the B-list characters a chance on the big-screen. We all know they deserve it, and frankly, it's what most people want. But that's just me. :)
