SINISTER WAR Kills Off A Major Spider-Man Supporting Character/Villain In Definitive Fashion - SPOILERS

Today's final issue of Sinister War sees Spider-Man square off with six versions of the Sinister Six, but one villain turned supporting character shockingly ended up making the ultimate sacrifice...

Sinister War hasn't quite been what we expected, though the Spider-Man event series has featured plenty of action, with the wall-crawler forced to battle six different versions of the Sinister Six.

Kindred has pulled out all the stops to end Peter Parker, but it's ultimately Morlun who comes close to delivering the final blow. Just as he's about to absorb the hero's life essence, Boomerang leaps into action and buys Spidey the time he needs to regroup. Unfortunately, that comes at the cost of his own life, and Fred Myers is killed in a way there's really no coming back from.

Writer Nick Spencer put the spotlight on Boomerang in the pages of The Superior Foes of Spider-Man, later making him a supporting character during his Amazing Spider-Man run. While Fred has driven Peter mad as his roommate, we've learned there's much more to the villain than meets the eye.

That's evident from his sacrifice in Sinister War #4, and this moment is bound to come as a blow to longtime fans of the character (it's also the second time a baddie with "Boomerang" in their name has died in a horrible way this month if you count what happened in The Suicide Squad).

Ultimately, Spidey manages to overcome these Sinister Sixes with some help from Doctor Octopus, and the stage has now been set for an epic clash with Kindred over the coming weeks.

Check out Boomerang's shocking sacrifice below:

@Saga - Peacemaker would eat them. He'd eat the whole bag and then another and another in the name of peace.

@CLTMAN29 - He’s been Peter’s roommate for this entire run. I’d say for now that qualifies him as major.

Does anybody else dislike Kindred now?

His story has been so rushed, he was introduced and then all of a sudden he was a major threat because he was appearing in dreams?

His first arc really was a mess, you could tell Peter was getting put through hell but it felt like half the story was missing. Good to see Morlun again though and Boomerang grew on me as the series went on.

I love when I come to a "Marvel/DC kills off X character" and the 1st 5 or so comments are like "yeah right"

Cause yes, it's all a joke by now.

I haven’t bought a Marvel comic in a while but wasn’t there a story on here a while back talking about Peter dying and Ben taking over as Spidey so does that mean this is before those events or are Spider-Man comics still a mess?

Seriously, Wilding? Come on, man! Why did you write that title? Some of us hasn't read it yet. I little respect for the reader would be appreciated. You are only able to think about your fricking clickbaits. Of course i have not read the article nor the comments, so at least I can find it out while reading it. But now I know someone is dying. I really hate this Wilding guy...

Wait, so now Marvel comics aren't just following it's own movies, now it's also copying DC movies!?

Kidding aside, never really cared for the character anyway. Now if it was Beetle, then I would be mad (but not really, since it's still comics)
