VIDEO GAMES: See Dr Doom, Spider-Man, & Others In EA Chicago's Canceled MARVEL

Years ago, Marvel & EA Chicago came together to make a Marvel fighting game. The game was even officially announced. But sadly it was cancelled. Numerous leaks from the game has surfaced since it's cancellation but now new footage featuring Spider-Man, Dr Doom, and more has been revealed.

In 2004, Electronic Arts and Marvel came together to create some fighting games based on Marvel's comic book universe. The first game release from their partnership was 2005's Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. The game had a lot of problems. When it was released it didn't fly off the shelves as the price of the game had to be cut by as much as 40 percent less than two months after its release.

After that, EA and Marvel would have one more shot at a Marvel fighting game, but it was cancelled. EA and Marvel's partnership was no more. There's been many online videos about EA Chicago's fighting game called Marvel - heck at one time, Marvel and EA actually shoecased some footage from it. Now the good people at PtoPOnline, who specialize in preversing and releasing footage from canceled video games, has released new footage from the game showcasing Spider-Man, Dr Doom, Venom, Juggernaut, and Thor. Enjoy.

Sad this game was never fixed and released.

Looks like I would have loved it.

It had a great concept.

GOD DAMMIT MARVEL! What are you doing?! First you don't let Capcom work on/patch Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, then you take away the contract that'll allow them to make more MvC games and now this?! Dammit Disney, just give the Marvel game rights to some other company like you did with Star Wars (even though they gave it to EA). It's not like Marvel's doing anything worth while.

You know, as a longtime fan of Marvel video games, "Future Fight's" been scratching the itch this year; I haven't enjoyed a Marvel game this much since Ultimate Alliance 2...I miss console Marvel games (other than enjoyable Lego ones), but FF is pretty cool in my book.

After the success of INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US, I'd love to see a new Marvel fighting game.
