A.X.E.: JUDGEMENT DAY: Marvel Comics Reveals First Look At The Event's Final Issue Coming This October

Tomorrow, a war between two of the most powerful factions in the Marvel Universe will erupt when our favourite heroes face cosmic judgment like never before.

Written by Kieron Gillen with artwork by Valerio Schiti, A.X.E.: Judgement Day is the latest Marvel Comics crossover event, beginning with the Eternals and X-Men embroiled in a deadly conflict and the Avengers struggling to restore peace.

This intense saga will pay off various plot threads that have defined these franchises in recent years including mutantkind's newfound immortality, the Eternals' discovery of long-hidden truths about their species, and the Avengers' questionable encounters with the Celestials. Now, we have a first look at the final issue's cover along with various tie-ins and a full checklist.

Marvel Comics says A.X.E.: Judgement Day #6 will conclude with a fascinating and unforgiving climax. It’s not that nothing will be the same again...it's that unless heroes can find a new way to be heroes, everything will be nothing forever.

One title that jumps out to us here is A.X.E.: Starfox #1; written by Gillen and illustrated by Daniele Di Nicuolo, it will bring Eros the Eternal into the action with a new look designed by Valerio Schiti. It sounds like this one-shot will present an important chapter for Starfox's exciting future, and we're excited to see him return (especially with Harry Styles now playing the hero in the MCU).

"Having done so much work with Thanos and the Eternals' shared history, the most common recurring question was 'What about Eros?'" Gillen tells ComicBook.com. "I smiled enigmatically, which everyone missed, because no-one is in my house, watching my response, except my cats. I really should have thought that through."

"Anyway: as the world falls into hell, I finally reveal all," the writer continues. "The world, more than ever, needs love. Can Eros finally live up to all the hopes he embodies?"

Take a look at all the October covers below, and be sure to check back here tomorrow for a breakdown of how this epic tale begins in A.X.E.: Judgement Day #1

Only the X-Force cover is really good, the others not so much in my opinion. Really like all the characters' designs though

@bkmeijer1 - Its very brown and the dinosaur on the right weirdly looks like its been drawn by someone else - but design wise definitely on of the best

Yawn. This story will "change the status quo"...until next month's event again ",changes the status quo". Too many pointless events.

So this event takes place over:
16 regular X-men comics
14 special “AXE” branded comics.
2 FF issues
1 Avengers issue
1 Spider-man issue
1 Captain Marvel issue

Seems like it’s pretty much just an X-men event.

i am willing to bet this will be a game changer for the origins of the mutants in the comics and will also be in synch with what the mcu will be doing. but i think the comics want to do it first.
