In the 60s, the collaboration between Stan Lee and Steve Ditko produced some outstanding comics that entertained millions and influenced other artists. After Steve Ditko's passing on June 29th, many were interested to hear what Stan Lee had to say about his esteemed collaborator.

Today, Stan Lee posted a video on twitter that honors his co-creator on Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. He said the following in tribute to Mr. Ditko:

"I cannot let the week go without commenting on Steve Ditko. Steve was certainly one of the most important creators in the comic book business. His talent was indescribable. I worked with him for many years and was always impressed with how he saw everything in terms of photos and pictures and movement and scenes. He told a story like a fine movie director would. I think he will be very greatly missed by the public and by his fans"

Just think he didn't just create two of Marvel's top heroes(Spider-Man & Doctor Strange) but Spidey's classic rogue gallery, impressive up there with Batman's villains.

@BR74 - All classic characters in their own right. The Amazing Spider-Man isn't the only man that should of had "Amazing" in front of their name,so should Steve Ditko.

Every time I refresh the homepage & see Stan Lee's picture as an article's thumbnail, my heart sinks and I always fear the worst before reading the headline...

I know his health has been in decline, but I still hope Stan makes it to 100 or even beyond.

I don't know why all you young whiny wimps keep on about this crap. It was alway obvious how the creative process, the Marvel Way, worked in the Bullpen, who did what, who created what, etc., and credit was given. This pouting by the participants that abandon a project afterwards is common throughout every form of entertainment. But you people keep on cursing at the wind. But what kind of person would remain as bitter as all of you think you should be after all this time? No one admirable would. I prefer to admire Ditko for his art and accomplishments, not hate on others for assumed slights.
